Jazel Stickel reacted to rsgk in How long does IRS take to process tax return after ITIN is issued
My spouse ITIN was just assigned on Friday(it got delayed because IRS required additional proof of identification).
Now how long will IRS take to process the tax return and issue a refund?
Any body with personal experience with ITIN and IRS tax refund.
and how long before the IRS can issue a transcript for 2011 tax return?
    Thank you.

they have to check in las vegas if the marriage is indeed valid. In PI, if it was not reported to the embassy or consulate i doubt it will be on records. Best option is to double check in las vegas where they got married if it was registered. I do not their policy. She better be prepared during the interview.

What state are you residing? Is there any FIL-AM organization in your place? What I am more concerned now is how you will survive on your daily needs. What about your in laws? if you decide to go home or adjust status you need some money. Try to search if there is any FIL-AM organization close to you and maybe they can help you.

Not sure why that made you mad but I think trying to not cause your wife stress during her pregnancy is a good thing. I'm a little confused though because it sounds like your wife is cooking meals but you are just upset she is not cooking what you want. Did you picture having a wife to be like ordering room service ? She has enough to worry about being pregnant in a new country with a husband she is still trying to get to know (who from what I can tell has a lot of hang ups and baggage that is preventing him from bonding with his new wife). Why do you want to make her learn to cook new food with tastes she doesn't like? If she is bothering to make meals why don't you just say 'Thank you' and eat what she is making - especially if you are so focused on family meals. Does Gretchen ever make Sinigang? Lami kaayo! That's something that should be 'easy enough' for everyone to eat. You could ask her nicely to make it with shrimp or meat depending on your preference. The opportunity for family meals are there, embrace it.
Are the leftovers you are throwing out the food she cooks or the food you cook? Are you cooking food you know she doesn't like and then getting upset when she doesn't eat it and then throwing it out? If you know your wife isn't going to eat it then don't cook more than you can eat. Ask her ahead of time if it is something she would like. If not, ask her how you can cook it differently so she will eat it.
As a side note change in food/diet can be one of the hardest things to adjust to when living in a new country, maybe eating 'her food' for awhile can help give you a little empathy for her situation. Also the people on this board are not going to be able to give you insight into your wife, even if they have SO's from the same country. Speak to your wife to understand her wants, needs and thoughts. She is an individual not a form for you to insert your preconceived/stereotyped notions into. Based on your other posts she's also not a doll for you to play dress up with nor a cook for you to place meal orders with. Did you expect her to come here and become your idea of American in 7 months? Let go of whatever you thought it was going to be like and focus on the realities of your situation and figure out how to find common ground. It certainly can be good to ask for advice but I think you spend too much time outside of your marriage asking other people about it, be in it. Are you by any chance on the spectrum? It actually would explain a lot.

Never ever? The quote was misunderstood? Let's take another look at what you wrote.
Why do you blame other people for your post? Nobody misunderstood. It's very clear you used the "tuna" statement. It's written first person. Why won't you be accountable and apologize?
So you are a racist and a bigot? Finally, some truth comes out. Your words "do" match your behavior.

There you go. Wouldn't it be great if you would indeed try to be careful with your "choice" of words and phrases in the future?
Oh! (again) You play the victim..? BS! You are repeatedly beating US (filipinos) with your racial BS stereotypes.
This last part of your post disgusts and repulses me most. You, in so many different ways, have "attacked" Filipinos. Including your wife. Yet, here you are, trying to act "innocent" and play "victim". Your definition of "attack" is despicably unbelievable. Despicable because you try to "blame" others for your mistakes. Unbelievable because your racial stereotyping post history exposes your true POV. Your racial stereotyping degrading Filipinos sharing intimate knowledge about your wife play victim blah blah blah behavior is disturbing.
Trying to side step? BE ACCOUNTABLE!!

Stop stereotyping! I don't know where you base all your 'observations'. If that's how your wife's family does it then say so. You make it sound like everybody in the Philippines is the same way LOL ...

Well I don't know if it makes you feel better or worse but our NOA1 is 1/12/12 also at VSC and our case was last updated on 3/29/12 as well.
We are now past the 5 month mark and we were told they can't do anything for us (not even service request with senator/congressman help) for another 3 weeks...
I'd say since your NOA1 is in March you have at least another 2 months to go, possibly more.
Of course there is always a chance that things get sped up between now and then but I'd advise you to think on the long end of things instead of the short end so that you won't be disappointed... when we filed the average for VSC was 3 to 3.5 months so we were assuming ours would be too and VJ timeline originally predicted based on other timelines that we would have approval between April 1 and April 15th... here we are June 15th and still no NOA2 approval.
Better to be prepared for a good 5-6 months for NOA2 and then be pleasantly surprised if you get it sooner because it's not fun to have to try to re-adjust your thinking to wait longer that you originally planned or expected :/ Trust Me

This person isn't real and is just playing games with everyone. If you noticed he keeps repeating the same idiotic questions throughout all of the pages. Seems to me like a game and not real. Just my two cents. There is no way he could ever make it to the Philippines living on only $7,000 a year disability unless he has a secret saving account before he went on disability. Don't entertain him anymore please.
