Either you or your wife is able to petition your child......The visa application will fall under the IR-2 category.
We are currently in the same process.....pretty much the same procedure as petitioning your wife with a few exceptions.
Some consulate specific differences for petitioning for a 14 year old child.....

....but I also know it is a big waste of time.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement will do nothing to investigate his case.
Even without a VAWA claim.....she will still be allowed to remain in the US if she so chooses.
