  1. You need to remind them that the true father is he who brings up a child, not he who sired one, necessarily. In some cases these are one and the same but that is not a requirement.

you know we all make choices in thiss life and they shape our futures. i made my choice to bring her and the 2 kids into my life and promised myself that i would never let them down. even if someday they yell at me and tell me your not my father. i dont care becuase i will know that i tried my best so that they could have a better future. so im going from single to married wiht kids already. that is a big responsiblity i am the man of the family and i need to keep pushing forward. so we have our apartment. started to furnish it. some of my friends donated things to us. microwave, coffe machine and other utensils. it just goes to show you that there are some great people out there. even with tough economy they continue to shine.

  2. Ya. In-laws create drama.

you know after evertyhing that has happened. im happy wiht my life. my family will never accept the fact that i chose my fiance with 2 kids. who they constantly claim are not mine. yes. im not the biological father, but i still love these kids.

i love these 2 little guys and the little one has said i go where ever you go. it hurts me to see them suffer they left everything for me. they left their friends, school,

family only to come to the usa for me. im doing my best for them. at first things seemed ok while we lived at the parents basement. then my family just created all this drama. they claimed i give the kids to much attention. yet i am the father figure for them. they need my attention. so moral of the story is be prepared to fight for what you want because some people will never see things the way you do. and will never accept things the way they are.

visajourney family here is kida like my second family where you post stuff and just reading responses. helps make things easier.

  3. Good afternoon VJ members, I need some advice re completing the Affidavit of support I-134. Now regarding: Question # 10 . My I-129F has been approved by USCIS. The petition includes my fiance's 6 yr old daughter and i wanted to know if her name has to be included on line 10 of the i-134...Please help. I know mistakes can cause hold ups and i don't want that to happen so i would like to enter this correctly. :help:

i put down my fiances daughters name, for the relationship i put down fiances daughter and put down the date submitted for my application.

  4. You mean he tried to cross the border (illegally, I assume, or did he have any visa?) and you're wondering what will happen if he tries to do it again? IMHO he won't have any chance to adjust his status in the US.

I'm definitely not an expert, but I don't think you can do anything.

Maybe you should contact a good lawyer.

sorry to hear that, but admitting to using drugs causes big issues. also being associated with gang members is a big one. yes you should probably contact a lawyer and consult him, but have your husband avoid crossing and being caught. best of luck

  5. That figures. And on the plane they always leave a couple of stacks lying around for those that were sleeping when they were handed out. Years ago I remember Mexico had the same thing and on the plane they told you don't make any mistakes because they can only give you one, if you messed up you had to buy one when you landed!

ok thanks. that helps allot. the day has finally come. ill post the review on poe in chicago. i already got her plane ticket. thanks for the great info.

  7. Hi everyone,

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, and I will appreciate if you re-direct me to the topic that might help me.

I'm a US citizen and I filled petition I129-F in March 2012 for my Russian fiance. Very recently the petition was approved, the case was sent to the NVC, and shortly it was directed to the Immigrant Visa Unit of U.S. Embassy in Moscow. My fiance has his interview already scheduled, but I'm concerned. I'm confused with the Affidavit of support. I had expected it to be requested, but I didn't get any notifications whatsoever. I need a joint sponsor and I'm in such a hurry now.

Can anyone, please, tell me what is the process of filling affidavit of support?

I would really appreciate it so much !

check out the moscow consulate website for requirements on i 134. previous thread on this one located here.

  8. Hello All... I am going to be traveling soon and I am just a little nervous...as the green card expires next month...so just to confirm... I should be traveling with my expired greencard plus the notice of receipt of I-751....??

Can anyone please share their experience, did immigration officers ask for any other document or experience? Is it easy to re-enter US?

just curious! why you would travel on an expired greencard?

  9. No apologies, I just want you to get the answers you're looking for and the Mexico regional forum would be a great help to you :)

just to update you. She was allowed to do her fingerprints.

she was asked for Embassy invitation letter ( she explained we never got it, but will print it in Juarez)

Passport, ds 260 confirmation, Confirmation Email that she received when we booked the interview and asc, and MRV fee receipt that i emailed her when i payed the visas.

URAAAA..... Now to pack and review all interview documents. then fly out to be with her for interview..

  10. Police certificates are required for every visa applicant regardless of the country you are from. You must submit police certificates from each country you have lived in for 6 months or more from the day you turned 16 years of age. Do you honestly think the US doesn't want to know if people they grant visas to whether or not they have a criminal background? Give them what they ask for

yes, i have them. the problem is that in mexico they print 2 types of police records. one is labled for labor purposes and one is labeled for consular purposes.

we just found out we got the ones that read labor purposes due to a clerical error, and it will take 15 days to get the consular ones. but our interview is next week.

so were going with the ones that we have that show there is no police record.
