My fiance's K1 Visa finally got approved. It took 7 months for the consulate to give us access to their site http://mexico.usvisa-info.com/ to schedule an interview. We scheduled the interview for July and it got approved. We did the bio-metrics prior to the interview in a consulate closer to my girlfriend's home of address in Mexico and went to Juarez for the medical and consulate appointments. We did the medical tests 2 days prior to the consulate interview. Plan to stay there most of the day. Got there early before 6PM and the results were given out after 2PM. On the day of the consulate interview, she told me there were a lot of people unprepared thanks to their incompetent lawyers. A lot of people had paid hundreds of dollars to lawyers just to get denied there because they were missing things like photos, evidence or some document. Many of them showed up with an envelope given to them by the lawyer who had told them not to open it. However, they were soon showed their way to the door because they did not have all the docs. People please do your own homework. Read the USCIS page and this page for everything you need. Do not trust lawyers!!
I'm just waiting now for my fiancee to immigrate to the US to live with me, get married and get on the I-485 waiting line

this question is for the mexico forum members. for the birth certificates when they are notarized do they need to be addressed to juarez consulate? or just have the notarized seal ?
-
im on the same boat as you are. my noa1 was on march 23 2012.. there are days when i wake up and feel like its so far away. ive started to train for a marathon and that seems to help with the mental toughness. Hang in there! this process has its ups and downs. Keeping busy does help....

i booked my ticket and will be seeing my fiance.

For a more focused response, consider asking in the Mexico regional forum.
ok thanks i will

In my Country is DSWD - Department of Social Welfare and Development I dont know in your Country. They issued permit that kids are allowed to leave the Country if either of 2 parent can't go. You will undergo interviews and documentation.
this is for mexico.
-
what type of document is required to be signed by the father in order to show that he allows the kids to leave the country?
-
Yes!!! Thanks for the lead. It is so different and far more advanced which makes it easier to stay in touch with my husband.
we watched movies via skype and keep our labtops on at night this way it feels like were together. the more time we spend together communicating and up to date on whats going on the easier this journey seems. Currently working on configuring skype on my cell phone.

Yes you will need the kids passport numbers aswell if you plan to schedule your fiances interview at the same time as the kids interview. If you plan to have the kids interviews at a later time then all you need is your fiances passport for now. When I scheduled my fiances interview, the system asks if you want to add family members to that interview and then asks for each childs passport #'s aswell as MRV #'s (payment receipt).
Hope this helps, let me know if you have more questions.
Good Luck,
yes. it helps. thanks for your response.

after noa2 how much time do i have to schedule my interview and pay the interview fee??
-
can i schedule my fiances interview date with just her passport number? or do i need to have her kids passport numbers as well?
-
You should get at least a 6 year as that would take you through the citizenship process. Otherwise you are going to be getting a passport every 3 years and the costs will pile up.
thanks. one more question. can i schedule the interview with my fiances mexican passport only? or do we need to have her 2 kids passports as well?
-
i received my noa1 back in march2012, expecting noa somtime in august. my question is should my fiance get 1 yr mexican passport or 3 years? if we go fro the 1 yr passport and we get our visa approved before december. that should be within the 6 month requirement for the passport.
