LeftCoastLady reacted to Dave&Roza in marriage after K1 approval
It amazes me how many times this question is asked. What part of FIANCEE do people not understand?!? It means as stated above that you are free to married and your FIANCEE is free to marry when ENTERING the USA. You must get married in the US within 90 days. If you wish to get married in the home country of your SO then the IR-1/CR-1 visa is the way to go. Should you get married in Mexico the K-1 is null and void and you will have to pay the fees and wait all over again. Get married in the US, apply for AOS and when your now wife has AP or GC then travel back to Mexico and have another "wedding" for her mother. To do otherwise puts the whole K-1 in jeorpardy.
    Good luck,
    Dave

Nope. K-1 is for single entry, also requires you to be married in the USA within 90 days.
Do a simple wedding .... and an amazing marriage!!

Yes, it's perfectly fine to mail the form from Canada. Or any other country for that matter. I am a bit confused, though. You do have to prove domicile, etc, in order to have it accepted. And since you're both living in Canada, and not the U.S., this is going to be problematic for you. A fiancé(e) visa isn't necessarily going to work for you unless she moves back to the US. Your best bet would be the CR-1.

US citizens are required to file US tax returns on their worldwide income. Even if their earnings are all from outside the US, US citizens are still required to file tax returns. This is a requirement for the Affidavit of Support that you must file to petition your fiancee. Have you been filing your US tax returns? If not, get started on filing your overdue tax returns.

The approval rate is incredibly high, so I doubt there's any quota in place. More likely is people are denied because they filed for the wrong type of visa, don't meet the guidelines, etc. As I mentioned upthread, read the guides to make sure you're prepared to move forward with this process.

Updating the example PDF forms (e.g. the G-325A etc) would be nice. A lot of them are either out of date (they don't match current issued forms) or were filled in very oddly. I ran into some minor confusion when using them as a point of reference.
