Hi OP, I see that this is an old thread so this is a long shot but....
What evidence did you provide to meet the "physical custody" part of the requirement? I believe they honored your son's birth certificate as evidence of "legal/sole custody". For me they are wanting more proofs such as tax records, medical, school, etc. Did you have to send in those or did your explanation for the birth certificate made it suffice to meet the whole "physical and legal custody" criteria?
They did not honor my son’s Swedish birth certificate but another Swedish document I had gotten translated. They did not want my tax records or medical records or such since they won’t prove anything.

My fiancé has to send me a few things now after we finally received our approval from USCIS so I checked the guide and this is what I found I need:
-Tax papers
-Form i-134
-Letter of intent to marry
-NOA2
It doesn't say anything about the USC's divorce decree but I'll probably need that too (already have it anyway). Is there anything else he should send me that isn't in the guide? I already have all the originals of all the proof we sent with our i-129f package, like boarding passes, receipts, tickets, pictures and so on.
He earns enough to not need a co-sponsor but does he still need to show his savings and so on? I was thinking the tax papers are enough. He's self-employed so there are no pay stubs, letter from any employer or W-2s.
The tax papers are fine no need to bring anything else.

Jbda journalarkivet should have all info no matter where you got your vaccinations. Also, yes either of you can call nvc to get the info you need from them.

Op you were informed quite a while back that this would bite him in the butt. He got arrested with a conviction and he lied about all that jazz on his esta. He's done.
Buy a Rosetta Stone, get that Swedish going and good luck! Sweden is a neat place!

He can't do anything. Tell him to move on with his life where he is.

If you are married you must start all over again. It will be another year or so..,

Did you guys not know how much the joint sponsor had to make before submitting the application?

We technically can too but Americans are very ####### about their documents lol so even though they are very much valid it just saves a lot of time and hassle to always get one with a current address. It's small things like this I wish I had asked before I moved!
Btw Georgia16 , get your kids shot record in English from your doctor as a back up! And make sure your state doesn't have other requirements for attending school. Some states ask for more shots than immigration does...

You don't really need several copies of the birth certificate since you easily can order one online. The Swedish ones will have your address on them so I've learned that having one with your current address makes things easier. For some reason these things confuses people over here... Anyway a birth certificate in English ordered online will arrive in about 5-7 days

I really didn't need an explanation about the anchor babies, but thanks. My post was more a, smh kinda post that women even have the energy to think about all that jazz at the end of a pregnancy! Especially since these posts were all over vj the day this was posted.

Proof of residency can be college transcripts and such. My husband sent high school and college papers, notarized from the school's. We had a hard time thinking of anything else to prove that he had lived all his life in the US. You paying bills doesn't prove that you have been physically in the country.

DCF takes 2-3 months if you are lucky. It can take 4-6 months... but yes you have no hassle with uscis for a couple of years that's true lol

If you guys aren't married yet why not just do K1? It's faster than traditional cr1 and she wouldn't have to go back and forth to Germany...

Jm17 even with an approved n-600 the passport issue remains. You must either prove sole custody or have passport paper signed by the other parent.

That’s strange that you would need those documents because they will not state weather or not you have sole custody. For me I had a hard time because they wanted a court document from Sweden stating sole custody but Sweden don’t use courts for these matters. But I had another document they eventually accepted.
What documentation do you have that prove that you have sole custody?
