I'm about to take a rest but had to share..
So my plane landed at JFK and my daughter and I embarked only to find my husband standing there waiting with flowers and a sign with my name on it... He had me crying right there.. But that wasn't the big thing I went out to see a limo waiting to take me to his apartment.. It was all decked out with champagne and apple juice for my daughter... I wanted to ask where he got the money for all this but was too moved emotionally.... I just figured why not just start on baby number 2 tonight... I am really gonna enjoy my visit this Christmas and will be heartbroken when I leave but I know next time there will be no leaving....
If you all don't see me on the forum for a few days you know what's up.....

We who are legit in our relationships have to prove much harder and bonafide evidence because of the fraudsters
*sigh* its the good that have to suffer with the bad
It's frustrating!

well i have seen where someone posted that because they had sweaty palms they failed the bio test, meaning their fingerprints could not get captured
Yep I read a similar post about that too. The poster's fingertips were sweaty and they couldn't pass the bio test, and it was unsuccessful on more than one attempt.

I just printed my Skype chat log to a file and found out it is 1,650 pages !!! Holy #######. With emails, this is going to be 150 lbs of paper requring a small suitcase. What did everyone else do ? I am sure we are not alone in this overwhelming amount of chat log evidence.
goodness!! Well they can't accuse you of not having an ongoing relationship that's for sure!!
I'm wondering how my facebook/email chats in print are going to look like too after reading your post!
-
Thank you all! That made it clear for me
Sending the package today, please keep your fingers crossed for a speedy approval
Cheers!
Congrats and good luck on your journey

We've all dealt with overly nosy people in our lives before whether it be friends, acquaintances or people we work with. Not matter how secretive you try to keep your personal life, some things will eventually get out in the open.
In regards to our foreign spouses/fiances, how do you handle the typical shock and awe reaction you get from others who do not understand our relationships?
I'm sure we've all heard the classic, "Are you sure they're not marrying you for a green card?" or just the blank awkward stare which seems to say "Why in the world would anyone purposely deal with this type of relationship?"I've also got the "There are so many nice American men. Why haven't you tried dating them?"
Most of the time I ignore them but it becomes difficult in my workplace sometimes. We have such a small staff that if I so much as remove an item from my desk someone will notice. I think my co-workers are starting to realize how committed I am to K. The only thing they don't understand is why he can't visit me here. When I try to explain how hard it is for a young Indian guy just starting out on his own with no strong ties to his country to get approved for a tourist visa, well then the blank stares start again
Any more I try not to let it get to me, I kind of just accept that anyone who has not personally undergone this process can not empathize.
What are some ways everyone else deals with the nosy, ignorant people in their lives?
I wish I had $100. for everytime I was asked the questions above in bold!
Just know you are not alone. I also get tired of people asking me "Anymore news?" as if my fiance petition/process will be handled overnight
I am just thankful for the VJ family here, at least there are umpteenth fellow VJers in the same shoes as me!!

I made a similar comment a few days ago in a similar thread, I asked the moderators if they could create an "Oprah/Dr Phil" Forum Catagory.
I got flamed out of existence.
-
I honestly feel the same but i just don't want to give the guy a hard time especially if he is telling the truth.. this is all confusing and strange
Co-sign! As this is another good point well taken!

I remember the OP's previous posts and I'm not defending him. Hell - he could walk right past me on the street and I'd never know it was him.
I'm only saying that it serves no purpose to beat him up emotionally. Nothing is gained by it. Odds are we'll never get the beneficiary's side of the story and as such I'm not bashing her OR him.
point well taken.
-
Can you wait 24 hours for her to be gone without beating the $hit out of the OP? Of course there are 2 sides to every story (actually 3... His, hers and the truth), but the resons she left are irrevalent right now and you'll probably never have the beneficiary post here to gt her side of things.
Regardless of the rationale that made the beneficiary just up and leave, there is a right way and a wrong way to do things.
But if the OP has already posted similar threads...then that is what probably caused the '2 sides to every story' turn that this thread has taken. So I can see how some are thinking otherwise. I'm not siding with neither here nor there, but its laid out for everyone to read...

But regardless of his side vs. her side, the whole situation is sad.. on all accounts and that I do agree with.
As a Man. I will always OPT to hear the Female side of the story.
I love it!

Hi everybody!
Had a question..... I sent in my I-129F petition and got my NOA-1 via Text and then yesterday i got the hard copy!
The question is it only has my fiancee name on it not her daughter's name too. I put her on the petition is that the way it should be or should i call and check on it?
Thanks
That happened to me too, when I received my letter, my fiance's daughter was not listed either. But I had included her on the original petition. I just dont think they list the children on the I-797.
-
I don't know why but this was comical!
To the OP, congrats on the soon to be bundle of joy!
And No, the pregnancy has nothing to do with whether or not your petition will be denied.
-
Was this the third woman you petitioned? Thats what I gather from your previous posts. Talk about a string of bad luck.
I know when I first started researching the visa process I read many horror stories and was reluctant to start my own. I just want people to understand there may be more to this story than meets the eye initially. I want to comment further but I will let others draw their own conclusions after reading the link below.
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/252307-i-129f-sent-1-month-ago-fiancee-changed-her-mind/
...wow, after reading the link... I wonder if OP is talking about the same woman? or different women

On the day marking exactly 5 months since my NOA1, I started calling immigration. After 2 to 3 days of calling and getting the same response - we're now working on applications we received 2 to 3 weeks before yours - I gave up contacting them. But out of boredom (lol), last night I decided I'd check out the websites of my house representatives and senators; I sent a message to 1 representative and 1 senator. Then just this evening, I got a text and email from USCIS that my petition has been approved.
I'm kind of wondering if that was just a coincidence. Do congressmen really take action on a request/letter that fast? If it isn't a coincidence, does the same approach (contacting a congressman to intervene on our behalf regarding immigration issues) work while the petition is being "roughed up
" in Accra? Lol
LOL!
well whether coincidence or not, CONGRATULATIONS!!!
