  1. Hello everyone :)

    Wooohoooooo

After 1 year and 12 days, finally I got an update from USCIS:

(New Card Being Produced - On July 31, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.)

No welcome letter and no notification about registering my card or my resident. After one week of receiving my RFE (Medical Exam + Marriage Certificate).

Let's see how much it takes to reach me :)

Good Luck Everyone, just hang on. It is really long journey with lots of stress and anticipations. But eventually it will happen (sooner or later)

    Peace :)

    Yay, congrats!

Mine was also took a week to get approved from the date they received it.

And it happens that people don't get welcome letter and in fact one of my friends received AFTER she moved to another state a year later. Luckily her neighboor still keep in touch and forward the welcome letter to her.

  2. OH NO!

Came home to a dreaded RFE. (FYI, the case status still reads fingerprint accepted Sept. 8th and I did not get a text or email about this).

They didn't ask for a medical (again, thanks ANJOS!), but rather both of our G-325 forms which I have saved filled out copies of so they were definitely in the original package....UGH. But the great news is that SOMEONE IS WORKING ON IT since this Monday (RFE dated July 27th and the address is from Sacramento California, we live in New York City - so that's cool *eye roll*). Overnighting these papers first thing in the morning!

    Hang in there everyone!!!

That's easy and cheap RFE. :P . Just kidding!

Send it as soon as fast and you'll get approval sooner. Keep us posted.

  3. On July 30, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxx, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by August 29, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Yes, you should've received it on Saturday. I received mine on Saturday, last week!

And hey, happy birthday to your mom. It is a very nice birthday gift for her from you! (F)(L):luv:

  4. Hi folks , finally i got what i was waiting for :) for more than 15 months , seems like i am very close to be Green lol I just checked my status this morning :

On July 27, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice . Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by September 25, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move, go to

    www.uscis.gov/addresschange

to give us your new mailing address..

Thanks for your helpful replies my VJ friends :)

    Wish you all good luck

    I will keep you updated

    Yay, finally. Congrats!

Did you post your complaint on their Facebook official account?

  5. We were lucky that we weren't asked to redo the medical. My wife had her medical last June 2014 so would have been expired last month. In our RFE they only asked us for relationship proof and updated G-325As.

Yes, you and your wife were very lucky. That's what I said to another poster that it is not always they sent RFE for redo medical. Could be something else or maybe not get any RFE at all. Some people just got lucky got escaped from the "RFE's nightmare".

  6. I bet the party part also happened to others not only to filipina group in the USA. I agree with someone who said its your call.

If you have Self-discipline and self-respect no one can influence you to do such thing as bad.

Yes, I agree. I heard Indonesians have some groups too. I saw their pictures on Facebook (shown they are drinking, partying, and smoking). To be honest, my husband and I don't like party, don't drink or smoking and sometimes we got invitation from my husband's co-workers. We did not go and my husband will make excuse that I can't go to a club because I would get headache from cigarette and alcohol.

One of my friends who went to the party told me how bad they were acted. They talked bad things about other girls who married to Westeners. They judged others from looks, clothing, cars, and how ugly and old someone's husband. I feel fortunate don't live in a place where many Indonesians because I won't join any groups because I knew where things would ended up.

  7. Thanks for clearing that up. I was trying to save us some money since we will be back in India anyway, but oh well. I've heard sometimes they let expired medicals slide so maybe we will get lucky.

Not everyone would automatically will get RFE for medical. Some others did not have to though the medical was already expired. Just keep in hope they won't ask a medical for RFE. Or probably you won't get any at all.

  8. Hi all, I'm just wondering for pre-planning purposes- if your medical expires (which ours probably will), is it a possibility to get the medical done in your home country again at the same clinic for the k-1? Or does it have to be done in the US?

The CS in your country pointed by the US embassy whereas CS in here pointed by USCIS. It means you have to get medical exam from an CS who is listed on the USCIS website because adjust of status under USCIS jurisdiction not the embassy ( U.S. Department of State) anymore.

Also, FYI, only the doctors on the USCIS list know the procedure. Meanwhile CS in your county follow the requirement from the US embassy. And each embassy has their own requirements. For instance, there are some applicants from some certain countries need to undergo drug test while the other ones don't have to.

USCIS under DHS while U.S. embassies under U.S. Department of State. They both have separate jurisdiction.

  9. My status was also updated, it says On July 25, 2015 we mailed your card to the address we have on file. If you do not receive the card by Aug 24, 2015, contact USCIS so we can send you new card.

But no tracking number so i believe its not yet mailed and might be in the process of being mailed.

I believe they would assigned you DCN# later. Mine sent via email. You don't have to worry about it. Just go to USCIS website and check your status and your tracking number is there. I saw my tracking number 3 hours after received my green card, :D.

Just got a series of texts. Johan's and his son's green cards were just ordered for production! Welcome to London!!! ?

Aww, congrats for all of you! It is a big relief.

I am joining this new fun club of waiting. Got my letter today. Hi everyone! I kind of wish i could send the letter back -- no, give me the interview please!

NPIW used sounds nice. Not anymore.

    ...and welcome the the club!

  10. Contacted my senator's office today. I'm hoping for some type of movement, but it looks like I will have to wait until Aug. 24th which is the 60 day RFE response date. I don't know why our case is taking so long. We have complied with everything that they asked for.

That's horrible. Why it takes so long to get approved? As long as all documents are sent and complied everything they have asked for then there is no reason of delay.

We received Welcome Letter on 07/25/15.

When I mailed our RFE, I sent the sealed envelope, the original RFE form, a copy of I-485 notice, a copy of the completed biometrics notice for the I-485 and a cover letter stating what was enclosed. I don't know if that had anything to do with why are case was approved a little faster than others after sending the RFE or if maybe because our congressman contacted our local office directly on our behalf. I am not sure of any of this. I DO know that filing on April 1st 2014 and not being approved until July 18, 2015 is way too long.

I know. It is painstaking process yet no news aftewards.

  11. Thankyou!! It is a relief I am not the only one!! I have booked for next week and I think I have got a good price for $190. Other places were between 300 and 600!! Hopefully i can send this off with the other evidence and by end of August this will be over. Thanks for showing me this link x

Great, you have a better price compare to the most people in the same boat with you. :)

They usually have time frame for sending this RFE. Some people had to send it in 30 days while some others like me had deadline in 78 days. So better to pay attention in deadline otherwise they won't accept your RFE.

  12. You are not the only one facing the same situation. People on this thread have a same situation like yours.

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/541331-notice-of-potential-interview-waiver-case-part-ii/page-301#entry7740707

I had to submit I-693 because my medical from K-1 visa was already expired. Filed on June 13th 2014, I received RFE for medical May 22nd, 2015, sent back on June 22nd, and approved on June 30th. There is no any other way you can do to avoid it. I paid $395 for medical including all shots and TB test. Better to start calling around which CS is the cheapest in your area.

  13. Halo ka, salam kenal ya, I'm from Center Sulawesi, Luwuk Banggai..

Ka, we are plan to get married next year, that is why I want to use my BF sposor to apply B2 because later after married and want to apply CR or K1, they won't think I lie in the first place with saying I'm going to USA for jalan-jalan and not to meet my BF and family. For ticket, I'm using our corporate travel agent from company so can book without issue first, and I just want to bring it so at least they know that I will come back to Indonesia.

Ka, kalo saya boleh minta saran, baiknya kaya gimana ya? Kita rencana mo nikah nanti tahun depan sekitaran akhir tahun.

    Thank you ka..

    I will PM you, :)

  14. My online case status was updated to the following:

On July 25, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXXX, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by August 24, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/erequest to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addreschange to give us your new mailing address.

It's been pretty much 3 weeks from the welcome notice (no rfes, infopass, uscisfacebook/twitter handle posts). All the best to others waiting.

Congrats! It means you are a lucky fella! ;)
