  1. See this:

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/347759-approved-i-130-8-days/page__gopid__5109526#entry5109526

It took atleast 3-5 days before they replied, I used my military email maybe thats why as a courtesy they replied back. But before I sent the email I know that the email address is not for follow ups.

Oh ok military makes sense. They always give priority there. Well, can't complain.

  2. This is what I received from CSC.

Thank you for your inquiry. This email address is intended only for follow up on inquiries submitted through the USCIS National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283. All case related inquiries must be addressed to the NCSC first. A customer service representative should be able to assist you when you call the above toll-free number.

If you do not have an application or petition filed with USCIS and/or need general immigration and citizenship information, you may visit www.uscis.gov.

As a courtesy, we are currently processing I-130, Spouse of a USC filed the first week of July 2011.

    Thank you,

    Officer Shelley

How many days did it take to get this response and what were you inquiring about? I have emailed them 3 times with no response.

  3. I put in a service request and got this :

The status of this service request is:

This notice acknowledges receipt of your status inquiry concerning an I-130 petition.  We recognize your interest in a final adjudication on your pending petition and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing.  The California Service Center is committed to processing this workload, and will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in an expeditious fashion as soon as available under our resource constraints.

    -_______-

My wife received this today and she had requested it on Jan 3 and this paper was dated Jan 11. What does this entail? We will be expedited or we have to wait?

  4. My NOA1 was July 25th so I called yesterday and the woman wouldn't answer a direct question she just told me they are very behind on approvals and that I will receive some notifacation in 39 days. So that will make it 6 1/2 months just for approval. Who knows how long till interview after that. I've been told at embassy 3-4 weeks but looking on here at others timeline its 3 to 6 more months. I'm ready to loose it at this point.

I was told 39 days today!

  5. Hello! She just called NCSC and the lady was really mean and hateful to her. She made a service request but there was no room in the box to type anything so we have no idea if it will help. They have three service requests that were denied for my wife's medical health. I think this is going to be denied or overlooked like all the others. The case status inquiry is useless at this point. They say they are working on June 16 applications. They say allow 39 days and then you can complain. But I remember a few months ago they said we could contact them after 5 months. I actually feel like they are giving us the run around here. This lady she spoke to had a deep southern accent (I overheard on 3 way conference). I do not know what we can do at this point. We will go ahead and contact the congressman this week.

  6. As to Paisaman's data and method, it seems a sound process and is probably as accurate as anything can be from the outside looking in.

As to all petitions 15July - 5August, that would tend to explain why there have hardly been no approvals for July in general, post-mid July in particular. However, there are some outliers that spoil that pattern. They could be explained as being in certain special classes. Military, expedites, that sort of thing.

I finally was able to get them to put in a service request. I was told that in 15 days if I hear nothing to email them. Needless to say, if I haven't heard anything by 1100 on 1February I'll start screaming bloody murder. If your wife is the USC, she should be doing the same thing as well. This is the government we're talking about and they often won't do a thing until they're pushed and pushed and pushed. Senators and Reps should be engaged as well but they have to be kept on top of as well. No one cares about this process like you and she do. So, for better or for worse, we in the position have to keep hammering them until they do their job.

I think she plans on contacting congressman this week. I will tell you what happens.

  7. We are going on 6 months also. My wife has an email for the head of USCIS. I have to ask her about that.

If you do please tell me how it goes. How long have you been waiting?

According to the scans of random WAC #'s nobody is approved yet with our same NOA1 date. This is scaring me! I saw some approved back in Oct and Nov but I am willing to bet you they are expedites or military cases.

  8. Same..! grrrrr

We are going on 6 months also. My wife has an email for the head of USCIS. I have to ask her about that.

The head of the USCIS is Alejandro Mayorkas. His email address is alejandro.mayorkas@dhs.gov and listed phone number at USCIS headquarters is (202)-272-1000. Just a thought--I'm thinking about drafting a letter to him.

If you do please tell me how it goes. How long have you been waiting?

  9. Any updates guys? Is it true they are now processing June 17? It moved by a day.

If so that means NOTHING to us! 176 days pending initial review!!!!! I hope they understand how cruel they are by separating us from our loved ones fort long segments of time! I even will most likely undergo lengthy AP after this because I am Pakistani. I wish that I could just have my wife come live here with me. I am about to give up altogether and just plan to move my family to another country here after awhile. Did any of you file a service request for a case status inquiry? My wife did on Dec 27 and they misplaced it. Then on Jan 3 she did and they still have never fulfilled the request. What is this CSC Stats this paisaman has created on here? Is there any truth to the data on these charts he has come up with? If so, it appears we are still in for a LONG haul!!!!! Also, the person who had the insider stated that we are still in storage if our cases are from July 15-August 5.

  10. Unfortunately, your right. They seem so cold and 2 dimensional. I understand there are true issues that need to be addressed but 5 months to get a notice to get in the next line to get to the back of the 3-5 month line again? Like I said when we first joined this site...I wish they could feel the pain some of us feel so that they may work just a bit harder, maybe a bit longer. I know its no consolation but take this as food for thought...

When my mom passed away from a horrible form of cancer a few years ago, all she had of me was that I was in a horrible marriage to a selfish woman who didnt want to be a mother or a wife and all I did was complain and agonize. If your dad is bad, at least give him the opportunity to know her as best he can with what is real. Your smile when you talk to him about her is a lot. What your plans are...when/if these "wonderful" people do their job and she can get here. If is a mobility situation...get them on the laptop or you do it for him. I dont know...I just rambling. You know...I will spend new years eve with my wife (if the net doesn't crash) LOL!!! And my kids will be in the bed with me (sleep or not).

    Happy thoughts mi amigo!!! :dance::rofl::dance:

175 days pending.....when will it end?

  11. I ran a set of numbers on Dec 23 that went all the way up to WAC1190657999.

I can put together a report that would cover August, but in re-scanning the first 6k records we have had only 6 change status in the last 3 weeks.

Not worth scanning until more of June/July is complete my guess.

Well, thanks for a bit of insight. I really want my NOA2 and so does my wife. When does it seem July 25 cases will start running?

  12. Does anyone here knows how to expedite the case? And what can be the acceptable reasons? I am in the military and im about to PCS (permanent change of station) will this be a valid reason to expedite my case? Im going to be deployed thats why I want to request to expedite so I can settle everything for my wife (house, etc) before I go overseas.

I do believe that deployment is a good reason. I think you just need to fax a copy of your orders to them when you make the expedite request. You would send the request through the military fax number though. Just call them as soon as possible to do the expedite request and explain everything to them thoroughly. They will be able to guide you further. Good luck to you!

  13. Same here on all counts. As the little flag says, my wife is from China. As such it would take an act of a lower deity to have any chance at all of a visitor visa.

As I've told several people online and in person since I learned more. Young+Female+Chinese+NotRich+Single == Denied.

It simply isn't possible to prove ties enough in that situation. The funny bit is that the State department swears up and down they don't discriminate against young people. It's just that the unstated and unwritten standards are such that it is impossible for a non-rich young person to meet them. I too wanted her to visit the US, meet my family, see if she'd really like it here before we made a huge commitment to each other. No dice, no chance. Her interview was barely 3 minutes long, most of which was the VO entering the reasons for denial into the computer. I'm 100% convinced that when the applicant meets the formula stated above, the decision for denial is already made with the interview being nothing more than a formality.

One of the things that make it truly annoying is that people from VWP countries, even if dirt poor and fresh out of high/secondary school don't face any of those problems. They can hop on a plane an fly over here whenever they feel like it with nothing more than a cursory set of questions at POE. Can they be refused entry? Sure. Does it happen often? Doubt it. Would a person with the exact same relative economic and personal ties be refused a visa by a VO? Absolutely. But they're from a 'special' country so they get a pass.

If my wife was born in Singapore, not exactly known for being super rich and everyone living in palaces, she could fly over here any time. Brunei? Same thing. Poor farm girl from rural Japan? Yep, come right on in. Tiny town making no money in Eastern Europe? Absolutely you can come right over. University graduate from China making over the average? Ewwwww!!! No!!! You can't come in!!! Visa Denied!

As Americans our Magic Blue Passport gets us easily into over 160 countries around the world. As a result we don't generally think about things like visas and interviews and automatic denials. Just the other day I was explaining this situation to someone for what had to be the 1000th time and they were totally shocked that she couldn't just come over with her passport. Then when they found out that she couldn't they automatically assumed it was the Evil Chinese Government that was preventing her from coming here. They felt differently when I explained to them that it was 100% our own government who refuses to issue visas to anyone except the special and privileged.

    :ranting::protest::ranting::protest::ranting::protest::ranting::protest::ranting::protest::ranting::protest::ranting::protest::ranting::protest::ranting::protest::ranting::protest:

I have heard nothing about my inquiry and I bet it never went through. They told me to make an info pass appointment also. I really think it would be useless for the time being. I guess we will wait it out until the end of the month then start contacting congressmen ourselves for what it's worth. This process is ridiculous and emotionally draining.

  14. Unsure. Though if they've shifted adjudicators from I-130s to I-129Fs it would certainly explain why the I-130 processing volume fell off, no?

This is really making me angry. I was told they put a service inquiry through today. I do not think it ill trigger any kind of "touch" or any kind of "NOA2". If it triggers a "RFE" that would even feel good right now. I just want somebody on my case!

  15. So far, my Rep's immigration person is going to call CSC and ask them what's up. One of my Senator's person just gave me the same excuses that USCIS does with a bunch of BS about "We can't/won't do anything until you're past their processing date." This being their self-defined processing date. The same one that USCIS themselves use as a bloody shield to prevent creating any service requests.

I wish I could just define turn around times as whatever the hell I felt like.

The wife was on hold for 20 minutes for a tier 2 rep. Then they tell her no service request (medical) was found. They then put a new one through for a status inquiry. Watch this one get swallowed too.....
