  1. :( we are just weeks from you.. it is indeed very sad to see that the process of immigration is to reunite families and yet its the only thing keeping us apart...

I pray that all of you hear some good news soon. Any idea why some do not get AP and others get long AP and others only a short duration? I am just curious as I know it is on a case by case basis. What is the criteria they are looking at there? Insha'Allah you will all hear something soon.

  2. Well, we are officially out of AP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got the visa today in hand!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you all for your support!!!!!!!!!!!! It took about 2 1/2 months for our internal AP at the embassy to clear! We were informed that our case remained at the embassy for investigation and never left Pakistan. Our congressman office made one call and I sent one email and called weekly. I am sure Allah alone was responsible for our short duration of AP. All of you still waiting will remain in our thoughts! We are praying for you daily!

This is so sad to hear. How can two people come so far only to quit? You are in my duaas.

  4. I got a green paper for AP. But it did not mention that any further missing information was required on it. Furthermore till now, I have not been contacted as well if any more information is needed. :) I just hope the approval news land up soon cause I am so tired of waiting. :(

So, why do you have to wait 60 days? Did you call DOS? I was told that you can call DOS after 2 weeks had passed and some people even called before that time. I was told we would hear something in a couple of weeks but we never did hear anything at all.

  5. We haven't moved from the NVC stage since July and it's killing me. I have been calling and calling and calling and it's the same thing. They gave us an RFE stating we sent in the wrong birth and police certificate. I spoke to a rep. and she told me they were going to forward it to a supervisor and that it would take up to 15 days. It's been more than 20 days now and my husband resent the orginal forms ( he requested them so they are original not copies and got them legalized how they wanted) they were receive on Wed. of last week and when i called yesterday they said they haven't received it and I was upset since we tracked the package. The rep. was also very rude and seemed annoyed with the calls. I wasn't in the mood either and I feel that if you are antisocial, then you shouldn't be working here and find a more isolated job. So I took none of her bs. I told her that it wasn't my fault that she was having a good day and that she needs to stop being such B.. because she doesn't make any decisions at the end of her day and her job is to respond to our inquiries in an appropriate manner. She got upset and didn't say much. I just hope she doesn't do anything to interfere with my case.

My husband on the other hand is to blame for this as well. I told his stubborn self to make sure he was sending everything he needed. He always uses his excuse of him not speaking or reading english. I spent 11 months with him in Argentina and I reminded him everyday the importance of him learning the english language. he didn't listen. He is just so stubborn. and no that he has no way out no he comes to me with his excuses. and i told him that I'm busy with school and family issues, since my father is severely ill, so i helped him get most of the information but I fell it was his responsibility to make sure that all the certificates were sent correctly. That's why we got the rfe in the first place. By now, our case could of been completed with him having his interview date. but no!

I haven't seen my husband since March and with all this conflicts at home and school, and looking for another job since mines was temp.(but my i-864 was approved) it's just so overwhelming. I just don't know what to do. I just want to leave everything and move on. Seems like we will never get this done. I don't want him here by december. I want him here now. this is just taking forever and it's frustrating to the point where I want to end my marriage. I know i made the choice of getting married at only 19, I'm 20 now, but since I'm stressing out so much, I just keep overthinking everything :(

If it helps read my timeline. We spent about a year at USCIS and a little over 4 months at NVC. Do not end your marriage over this you will be tested much more than this in life.

  6. You'll have to contact the consulate/embassy (either through phone or email). Explain your situation and that you'd like to reschedule your interview date. Be warned though, the rescheduled interview might not be in September as all slots might be filled.

I think I will just keep what I've got because everyone says it is careless to reschedule as long as we've waited. Therefore, we will deal with the earlier date. Thank you.

  7. A few weeks ago I started working on a spreadsheet for NVC processing times for IR-1/CR-1 visas. I thought it would be beneficial for everyone to see past trends and current times for NVC.

I'm going through old threads on NVC filing for each specific month. I'm also keeping a watch on the current month's thread (October). This spreadsheet is by no means completely filled out as it will take me some time to go through all the threads, but I think so far it gives a good overview.

I've gotten the data from individual's timelines, their signatures, and/or comments in forums.

Please help me out in three ways:

-if you notice information is missing or wrong, please pm and I will correct it immediately

-if you're not on the timeline, please pm all the pertinent dates and I will add you immediately

-if you have any suggestions/comments, please pm or leave a message here

    Link to the spreadsheet:

Why am I not on your spreadsheet?

  8. Ahhh man Funfetti you are breakin my heart. I am just hangin on to when, where how my case will show up. No one knows. CSC or NVC. They both are playin keep away it seems with me and its getting on my nerves. CSC told me to give it 90 days to "SEE" if it shows up at NVC. 32 days waiting for just a case received. Very upsetting. It''s not about even invoicing, AOS, IV Bill or interviews for me getting through NVC. I just want to know my case isn't in a box in a room collecting dust. Or as that nightmare movie I remember where the box of files fell off the back of the truck and down a cliff. OMG....let me wake up quickly.:crying::blink:

Hehehe you gave me a mild giggle. I understand your stress but your dream/nightmare I doubt it is as awful as it seems. I know in my case we had two checklists. At USCIS we had the RFE so I'd imagine that is why this year has been passing us by wihout much action. I was surprised that my case was complete just 5 business days after submitting the checklist documents. The best advice I can give you is to try your best not to get a checklist from NVC it delayed us quite a bit. We would have had an interview date by now I think if it were not for the dreaded checklists. I want a September interview anyway so pray for me please that I get that and I'll pray for you also. Good luck!

  9. I was really, really hoping to be done with NVC by now, but it appears they just love me toooo much and want to keep me close and snuggly.

May-June-July-August. So much for a short transit time, lol

Called in to check on status of interview being scheduled today just for the giggles - Operator "Greg" tells me that interview scheduling for Canada has currently been placed "ON HOLD" until September....what? Has anyone heard anything on this? Or is it more fallacy along the lines of the "only scheduled on second week of the month" business?

Sending out good wishes for everyone to get speedy case completes and interview dates!

Hey, we have been in NVC for over three months. We received our NOA2 back in April. So, do not feel bad. I want my interview date ASAP. I know you do too. Our case just completed on 07/26/12. Praying for all of us long lurkers. I have been dealing with this entire process since July 22, 2011. I am tired.....

  10. I spoke with someone at the NVC (if I remember correctly her name was Diane) who was kind enough to explain this to me yesterday. She said that interviews are NORMALLY scheduled during the second week of each month. Your interview date can be any day during any week of the month but they normally set interview dates during the second week of each month. She said sometimes they schedule interviews outside of that week but its not routine. So some people might have had their date sent to them later in the month but that was an exception and nothing we should really expect. (Also, she said some embassies only have interviews on certain days of the week. For example, family based petitions K visa and IR/CR visas might only get interview dates on Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

I got an RFE for something silly on July 11th (which would have given us an August interview date if the case was completed then...grrrr), but my case got completed last week on the 27th. So...my hubby's interview date should be selected next week (2nd week in August). (Hopefully we all hear something then!) And if there is still space at his embassy, the interview date should be some time in September.

That's how it was explained to me.

Alright, they toldme the second week falls on the 16th. I guess I will call today and see what they say. Thanky ou.

  11. did I miss something here?? Your Profile Signature says your are at NVC stage and how you have been gotten your Interview Schedule??

Personally, I did not see any official documentation regarding Scheduling for the Interview. It goes through out the whole month but MOST of the cases got schedule for Interview within first 2 weeks of the month. It also depends on Embassy to Embassy how busy they are.

As I said, I don’t know whether it is a written rule ( first 2 weeks) or not but it is general trend these days.

good luck to all who are waiting for Interview appointment....

    thank you

Wow, thank you and can you suggest how often to call?

  12. NVC stated the same.....and we are in line for the U.S. embassy of santo domingo  I'm trying to analyze ....rather...understand their logic ......Why can't we just get a date once the case is complete?!?:bonk: ..... ....in light of it all....i'm happing that we're getting there!:luv:

That's true closer than before. I have waited over a year to just get through where I am at now though.

If you mean the time when they decide the date then i received email on 7th June that an interview had been scheduled on 31st of July.

Yes, that is what I mean the time they decide.
