NO, No it wasn't, I just called to put a service request but instead an expedite was generated. I wanted them to see and adjudicate my case. But I didn't send any proof and I was never called to send it in. go figure!
"Go figure" that the USCIS hates me and my spouse.
You get an NOA2 and my generated expedite gets another denial letter.

Hello, I also got mine today yeeeeeeeeeeey!!!! I'm sooooooooooooooo happy. phew!
After a long wait.
Thank GOD!!!
GOOD LUCK TO ALLL OF YOU!
NOA 1 - July 15
Touched - July 18
Called to expedite January 19
NOA 2 - January 24 (email)
Oh but yours was an expedite. Hmmm our expedite was denied so no news for us I guess anyway soon. Congrats to all of you. I think I will take a break. I am starting to get depressed on here. Hearing all of you get good news while I receive slap in the face responses from USCIS. Congratulations all of you. I guess I will see you all later on.

Congratulations everyone on the NOA2!

I am sorry to hear your wife is ill. Inshallah she will get better and you will get your NOA2 soon. They are sometimes unfair with our countries due to the security issues, in terms of background checks we always seem to take the most time.
I asked the USCIS if I do not send in my evidence for the expedite, if that is negative. They responded that it is not a problem, they will just process normally.
They told me that we HAD to send it in. They always give everyone a different answer. Send yours in. Hopefully you will get approved.

Well, my wife is in Egypt, I requested expedite based on the violence and unstable circumstances in Egypt. The US Embassy is threatened to close down, as well as airport closures, etc... that have occurred in the past. I am worried for my wife's well-being and daily safety (as well as the possbility of a military lockdown). So basically they asked for more evidence. I don't think they pulled my file or anything to check it, they just said they were unable to determine if my request met the requirements for expedite and to submit more evidence.
What do you think?
Yes, that seems like a good foundation for an expedite request. Do as the other poster stated. I think one request wont hurt you. My wife tried to get hers due to medical. She is very ill. They do not care. They normally approve these requests for people less serious reasons so I do not see why you would be denied. For some reason they never approve my wife's request although the nature of her request is quite serious. I am feeling like you will probably get an approval for your expedite. I think we are the only ones who are being denied for expedites for medical issues to be quite frank. I really do not think they even have our case in their possession because in the beginning they stated that it was at the Phoenix Lockbox. So, you go ahead and send in the evidence because NOT sending it in will be a BAD thing. You must respond to ANY and ALL requests for evidence USCIS sends your way.
-
What makes you think it has been hurting you? The USCIS agent said it cannot damage or delay your case. If they refuse then it will be processed as if you never requested. I can't trust those USCIS people, they are in control of nothing. I already submitted my expedite request, but they requested more evidence, so I doubt they pulled my file yet...I may elect not to reply. What do you think?
What was the expedite request for? They denied us and we sent over 200 pages of evidence. I think what the do is pull your file for review and then put it back in the stack. It can delay you because it could go further down in the adjudication stack. So, I would not suggest it unless it is something that will definitely be approved at this point. Because we do not know now if we are in the adjudication stacks or not.
-
Hey I saw that you submitted numerous expedite requests. Do you think asking for an expedite will somehow delay or damage ur case?? I worried to go through with it, I've got a feeling if they refuse my expedite request it will delay my application?
I think it has been hurting us. So, yes in some cases it can delay things. If they pull your file and put it back in the stack then it possibly could.

just an update, I am an August filer that put in a service request as I am past the processing time like many July filers are too. I got transferred to a tier 2 agent today when I called to see if there was a response to the service request I put at the end of last week. Officer Fair told me I should be gettin an answer no later than next week and that I should be getting my decision probably a week after, no later than beginning of Febuary. He admitted that CSC had a backlog but that they are taking the necessary measures including working on weekends at that office and that even if the system states that they are working on June 16th he is sure that they are by mid/late july filers...
Maybe this help you guys out while you wait...now I cannot trust the officers words 100%- I will when I see my response to the service request next week....
I wonder how come they wont give us service requests but they do for most others. This is so unfair.

Hello Everyone!
My first post here. Our NOA 1 date is July 28, 2011. On January 4, I called to check status and got the same June 16 story however, the agent submitted a status request for me.
On January 17 I received the response below stating they are currently working files from July 5.
We are praying that we get our NOA 2 notice this week, but I will be calling every few days just to see what story they give.
Type of service requested:
-- Outside Normal Processing Times
The status of this service request is:
USCIS electronic records indicate that both of your applications/petitions was filed on 07/28/2011 and is currently within current processing time. We are currently processing cases filed on 07/05/2011.
The status of your case may be obtained online at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do.
If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.
Oh, so it is really July 5th that makes me feel a little bit better then.

We sent out I-129F on the 15th of July and received NOA1 3rd of August. We still havnt got our NOA2, its been 6 months and getting worried.
We sent out our documents on July 23 and our NOA1 is dated July 25. We have not received our NOA2 yet either. There is a huge backlog for July filers.

What are they doing to us? They said they denied the last service request so they will not look at the new one! Thank Allah we just sent a letter to our congressman! I pray he can get us out of this place! The nerve of these people! The operator said "be patient". How can anyone be patient?

Well, Today I called USCIS again for the 3rd time! Trying to submit a service request. Unable to do it since it's within normal processing time. I insisted to either do that or to get an email address from the officer working on my case. I didn't get it because my case has not been assigned! WHAT!!!!???
After a few more minutes on hold, the customer rep said, I can expedite your case if you have one of the following reasons? -she read to me a list of reasons to expedite a case. Then she asked "which one do you fall into?"
hhhmmm welll can you explain "error of USCIS and Financial hardship" ...mmmm In a way she hint to choose "financial hardship" I did. Then she gave a reference number and said to call if I don't hear anything in 15 days. To be honest I don't even know if this will work. My husband is not really working in India right now, and he does have a job already waiting for him here. Hopefully, this will be enough proof, but I wasn't ready to submit an expedite. I Didn't even think about doing it. All I wanted to do is for them to KNOW that my case has not been touched since July 18 and that I'm here waiting.
Hopefully, if they see it they'll realize that it has been more than 6 months and approve it without asking for any additional info. Fingers crossed.
NOA1 July15
Touched July18
We have tried 5 expedites. All of them have been denied. Despite tons of evidence!

July 11th 2011 NOA1 + 192 days = NOA2
Finally!!!
Congratulations! Good luck the rest of the way! Pray for all of us waiting!

If there are back logs of files uscis should have persons personally to deal with that. The files they recieve recent should not have to wait until they have finish with there back logs because this is messing with the timeline for persons. It is unfair to file my petition and my five or six months has past and i have to wait on uscis to finish with there back logs before they can deal with the recents filers.......Something needs to be done about this. This is very bad service......persons wants to be with their love ones.....this is foolishness
I have waited 178 days. You want to trade me places?
-
I admit I'm trying to come up with a response that is nice.. kind.. and congratulatory...
*Looks at 174 day timer*
....
I've got nothing nice to say...
LOL
I so agree with you. I had to do an "edit" to remain a good sport on this one! 178 days and counting.....I have waited a total of 170 days more than these people! This is TOTALLY UNFAIR!
-
Am I alone in feeling like they're bragging and rubbing salt in some pretty painful wounds?
It's nice that they got approved so quickly. Bully for them. But to post a thread dedicated to calling out that they got approved in 8 days when they have to down that there are people who have waited 10.. 20.. 30 times that long... just seems... wrong.
Who knows if it is even true. I know they are pouring salt into a wound followed by clorox and trying to dry it off with a cloth made of thorns. I am very upset. Hence I waited 178 days and counting a total 170 days more than them. It seems hurtful that these people come on here bragging. This system is not fair and I wish there were something I could do about it!

Called USCIS June 16 still for the last 3 months! The man said "until they are ready to make a decision it won't happen". I told him they are working out of sequence. Hence the 8-30 day approval range on here. He seemed startled said "out of sequence" and gave me the usual run around.
-
I hope your casefile has some movement this month.

"Patience is a virtue"! You need to wait your turn. Relax and trust in God.
-
I agree with that! I would really like to see some changes. It says I should be adjudicated between October 27-December 14. That is a wide range and quite disheartening.
Anyone from July around the 25th approved yet?
-
Alas, they not pay enough to sub-contract my garage..
A little humor goes a long way I suppose. I think they have started wiping the dust off of some of the early July applications. I would say I am in for about a month more wait.
