Peter_Pan got a reaction from JeanneVictoria in Work upon entering through k1 visa
You can't work for some months after the wedding, you are somwhat mistaken (when you enter on K1 you can apply for a temporary work permit but that takes about 2 months to get and it is only good for one more month, so that is a waste of money and time).

^ Don't give her false hope.
Expedite I think it is possible if he deploys soon. If not, then it makes no difference.
The fact that he served the army and they spent a lot of time together is also irrelevant for how long the first parts of the process will take.
October seems awfully optimistic, I have "planned" for a ceremony 7 months starting from NOA1, but it seems that might not happen.

Peter_Pan got a reaction from user19000 in Need Help Ending It
It was an arranged marriage, what did you expect?
If she had told her the truth and you wouldn't have married her, she would have been in huge trouble with her family.
Her only mistake, it seems, was trusting you.
By the way, why is everybody so quick to assume a GC is worth so many sacrifices? Unless it can give me 100 IQ points or eternal youth, a GC isn't worth all the sacrifices we put into getting there.

Peter_Pan got a reaction from VanessaTony in Declaration of how you met. Question 18 of 129F
Myself (Jasmine *********) and Antonio ******** met on June 27th 2010 when both of us attended the Vans Warped Tour music festival in Ventura.
That should be enough methinks.

Peter_Pan got a reaction from Kathryn41 in Abused wife applied for AOS, I'm lost plz help me!
@ Symply_Me, drop it. You are not the person to pass judgements, especially after your own immoral story.
@O.P. Get professional help, aka a laywer and a psychologist. If the petition for ROC because of abuse fails, ask for Asylum. Forums are great, but take everything with a pinch of salt. Your husband is insane, and, while I know in your culture wife beating isn't really frowned upon (I am guessing you are Iranian), such is not the case in any normal society.

I wasn't aware sex was mandatory for engaged people.

Yeah, incredible as it may seem, we are loyal to the countries we were born into and lived into for so long. Shocking, I know.
As for the whole "I wore the uniform", gimmie a break, both of my grandmothers were caught in a serious war, lived in cities that were bombarded for years and didn't make a fuss about it.

I am sure details about an Equadorian's sex life will go a long way whereas protecting the US is concerned.

Uff, religious people. I think the devil would be more proccupied with spreading death than with stealing your joy, but that's just me.

Perhaps because the sex aspect is the inappropriate one?
