  1. Or do like I did, occasionally exposing myself to the things I couldn't handle and build a tolerance up. After 15 years or so, it was much better than it used to be.

I don't think that's really an option for me as I've had reactions even through cross contamination and that's when I'm not even eating the foods lol

:rofl::rofl: Why yes I did, but they were over 18. Any girl under 40 is a young girl to me.

I've noticed that your late 20's are for realizing that everyone is younger than you.

    Everyone that looks your age?

    Yeah, they're younger than you.

Me to the car sales man:

me: (rattled off my high schools I went to)

sean: oh i graduated from XYZ

    me: oh really?? when?

    sean: oh nine

me: *pause* hmmm OH GAWD YOURE SO YOUNG

Took me that long to figure out when '09 was and how that related to graduating in '03.

I'm getting back into sign language.

Which the only way I can learn is by signing songs.

But jesus christ, it's starting to make me hate some of my favorite songs having to sign them over and over to learn lmao

  2. Vent away, I know when I get fed up I start biting everyones head off then break down crying. The only thing I can eat is meat, but this must be fresh cannot be frozen and no left overs. Oh and grass fed, no corn fed. So I end up eating all the things that make me sick. I went 2 months not eating anything but rice and meat( I had to add the rice or I wouldn't of made it ,rice is one of my low reaction food) and I felt great. Lately my allergies are making me very sick, but I don't know how to restrict them and still nurse the baby.

Look up Paleo diet that is gluten free and a lot of yummies

UHG my mom gets a grass fed cow from my grandpa and I really dislike the meat.

Once I started cooking, they barely started using the meat because I dislike the taste so much.

    Steaks taste like fish.

  3. it was 15 per hour, with increments once he got hired on. not great pay, but more than 1k a month definitely. yeah it was a just out of high school job, but the job experience must look good on his resume because it's helped him land all his new IT tech support stuff that he's doing now.

hasbro is hiring for a similar position atm... ;)

    O_O WUT?

  4. :( I went through a similar thing when I developed food allergies. You know how hard it is to avoid onions or garlic? Eventually I learned and adjusted, but for a while it felt like life wasn't worth living.

OH MY GOD. I swear that would be the icing on the cake.

I am OBSESSED with onions and garlic.

    I could not even imagine.

My lack of breaded items seems insignificant now.

I will eat garlic and onions for you tonight and you can eat a loaf of bread for me.

We can live vicariously through each other.

I made my mom my favorite seasoned fries for lunch today.

Just kept staring at the pan.

    Wishing. Dreaming. Imagining.

  5. Uhg I am in such a pity party mood.

    I hate everything right now.

My step dad ate my bag of chips yesterday because I left it on the table.

His excuse 'I didn't know they were yours'

My retort 'BUT YOU KNEW THEY WEREN'T YOURS!'

    He proceeded to pout.

I want to cry because I can't have my delicious bag of chips.

    I'm so serious right now.

I'm not PMSing and not Pregnant.

So I have no excuse for this ridiculous behavior.

collect a bunch of wood, throw it into the bottom of the grill, ignite and start cooking chicken when it burns down to coals. Can make skewers out of sticks too.

    Wet skewers first before skewing.

  6. Some of my gluten-free friends have gotten downright militant about it. They want all products with gluten banned so no one can eat them, because its obvious we're all being poisoned and don't know it.

    That's ridiculous.

Anyone that fad diets on gluten free... I hope they get diarrhea.

They give people that actually have issues a bad name.

They deserve to feel what we actually go through.

For like four days in a row at work I've had a gluten free hot pocket for lunch.

It's good, don't get me wrong, I was super surprised, but I just am tired of eating them.

Everything I love, I'm starting to hate because it's ALL I can eat.

And I don't have the time or money to make everything from scratch so I just end up leaving the grocery store with barely any groceries because I can't figure out what is cheap and safe to eat.

    Ef this Es.

    I want a mcdonalds cheeseburger.

  7. Why you going gluten-free?

    I have an intolerance.

Finding out today if I have Celiac.

oh lord rice cakes....cannot stomach those

This doesn't help my jaw to eat this either.

Because of the issues with my TMJ, I'm supposed to eat softer foods and for some reason this stuff is like crunching on rocks.

I know aldi has like a double money back guarantee but I feel bad returning it. =[

  8. gluten free anything - tastes like buckwashedaholio .

go green, instead - eat some veggies !

Oh god no. No no no.

    Udi's granola was fantastic.

    But it's also like 5.50/bag.

And these gluten free brownies I had from The Melting Pot - HO-LY ####### O_____O I don't even like brownies!

  9. Also you may be lactose intolerant as well. Many people with a gluten sensitivity are lactose intolerant.

Your food bill is about to double or quadruple. spices have gluten in them. There are soooo many thing that have gluten. You'll have to watch everything you eat now.

Oh and congrats to your sister.

and hope you can find a place of your own soon.

I seem to be okay on the milk.

I was lactose intolerant as a child, and as allergies often times seem to cycle out, I found myself fine with it late in my high school years.

I am still keeping an eye on it just in case, but I really don't even have that much milk.

Aldi's recently began a gluten free line making it still very affordable, but YES, I just paid $4 for some gluten free bread crumbs =[

  10. My husband at something like 6'3 can fit in the front and back seat, miraculously.

The size is mainly due to a complete lack of trunk.

Which honestly is fine because I'm known for ruining my cars stuffing them full of junk and trash.

Less space to put trash in.

Plus i don't have friends so not like i need to fit people back there often anyway.

Also gives me an excuse not to be able to take large packages to fedex any more after work: don't fit!

    GREAT on gas! 39/hwy 32/city!

  11. Oh sorry about that. I have a wheat/grain allergy so it's a bit more of a pain, so I feel you pain. With Celiac you may still test negative as the test is not very accurate, the only way to know for sure is to eliminate it.

I should still test for the antibody, but I'm not going to go through with any biopsy of my intestines.

I know I have to eliminate it, the question is only if Its damaging my body or if I can have it very occasionally if I feel the consequence is worth it.

Oh I see now, it was a LPOP you were replying to, I totally missed it.

    effing hate this

LPOP (my immediate thought) "Great, no one is gonna see that"

I used to post on this forum and the coding for it was GREAT it always took you to the last place on the page you refreshed, so it would take you to the bottom of the page before the next page.

So if I like left this thread now, and came back in 3 days, if i just click on the thread title, it would take me right to this post.

    Grill pics now

    car pics now

    And, aren't you like 23?

    I am almost 29...........

  12. 1 Woot on the new car

2 why not get pregnant too, while you have a built in babysitter?

At church yesterday, they were holding a baptism for the cutest little smiley baby girl. Couldn't have been more than a few months old, but she'd break into a huge smile whenever she saw someone looking at her. Made my wife want to get knocked up right now.

No way man, get pregnant in your mom's house, doomed to live there forever.

Also, hubby is built in baby sitter.

I don't know if I would trust my lazy step dad to watch my child for even a few minutes.

He only cares about his ipad.

  13. TYTY. It may or may not be BRIGHT GREEN.

    JS.

When everyone gets to work they are gonna be like 'seriously?'

Also, I found out I'm gluten intolerant.

Waiting for blood test to come back tomorrow checking for Celiac.

    Anyone here have these problems?

Like literally all the time I'm like 'I can't eat that'

'does that have gluten in it?'

    'what's in that?'

    'Can you change your gloves?'

'do you wanna eat jersey mikes, chipotle, or boston market, because that's all I can have'

    and finally

'#######, what did I eat, something had gluten in it, brb bathroom'

wait i can't say the C poo word?

    lol wut.

    Like carp,,, but not carp.

  14. Ladies and Gents, I was finally able to do it.

I got rid of the PT Lemon this weekend and got a brand new car.

    Pretty much bare bones.

No auto locks (but auto windows, okay whatever weird) and no cruise control, but hell, the horn even works now.

I sort of feel like the sh*t in my head right now because I am just so happy to be done with that POS.

Also, BS, my sister (7.5 years younger) is pregnant. Pffffffffffffft.

And I still live in mommy's house.

But one step at a time, right?
