apply for an SB-1 (SB-11?) at a US Consulate IV office near you. Soonish. Today-ish, even.

You don't have to delay anything. You should continue in the process as it develops. You have 6 months to use the visa after you receive it. I would not delay anything. Or you might not end up getting him here until after you planned to.

You will most likely be required to take the driving test because you have a drivers license from another country. It could vary from state to state but the state of Massachusetts requires you to take the driving test.

I am seeing posts here about cheating fiance and wants to go home after few weeks of getting in the US. That's sad, either they don't know who the person they committed with or they just need to learn how deal with the situation.
Discovering infidelity on the first part of the "marriage" is very crucial. Everybody wants their marriage to last but we all know that there's no perfect relationship. Getting into the marriage is not a guarantee of loyalty either and sometimes no matter how genuine your intention is, there's still something wrong that you just have to let go. Do you think infidelity is just one of the trials that needs to be overcome?
    EXPLANATION..
GUY: "Do you think I will spend money and time with you if I do not love you. I may have been stupid but it doesn't mean that I don't love you."
GIRL: "Why would I fly all the way here and leave my family and friends back home if I don't want to be with you?"

How one handles infidelity is an individual decision. I think the hurt seems deeper for persons who found love outside their home country, because you feel financial strain, being placed under a microscope by the government and those closest to you, being emotionally worn down waiting for approvals, and not having any control in the matter.

Be patient , calling daily will not change or speed up the process of assigning your case #.
Now, no homicidal rampage please, that will get you a booking number at the county lock-up, but no NVC case #.

Samantha78 reacted to Terca in Special case- CR1 visa but IR-1 status upon entry
    Hello guys!
I just wanted to give you an update of the latest in our case (for those who do not know me the rest of my case in my signature)
My husband has a CR-1 visa attached to his passport because at the time of visa interview we were married for less than 2 years (june 2011). We bought his ticket for october 2011 (after our second wedding anniversary) so that my husband would be entitled to IR-1 status upon entry and not have to deal with removal of conditions.
He arrived at JFK at 1:50 pm and was done by 2:30 pm. He waited until the consular officer was opening the yellow envelope to point out nicely that "my wife wanted me to point out we have been married for more than 2 years now" . CO answered "sure let me double check that" and that was it.
Everyone here keeps asking him how he feels about the new country and he says he loves the organization, the fact that we live in a safe small town (he is in love with all the foliage lol), and the variety of cultural backgrounds (he just learned how to say hello in arabic and thank you in chinese). Hates how expensive cell phone companies are and how expensive healthy food compared to junk food.
His friends from back home ask him about the weather if its cold yet because it never gets cold there lol.. I got him a couple of sweaters and a jacket before he came and that was a good move since it snowed on halloween!!! He was freezing those days so we purchased a heavy winter parka he thinks he looks huge but i keep reminding him he never wore anything heavier than a hoodie so it takes some getting used to.
i'm working 2 jobs now and was not able to stay as much as i wanted with him, but he is doing great considering i dont have as much time as i would like to walk with him. Yesterday he took the train to meet me in lower manhattan after work, i felt so proud!!! I must confess it does feel kind of weird that he is now here and we dont have to chat or skype anymore it's a learning experience for both of us
No green card yet, but he has been applying for jobs online. He has an interview on Nov 9th i'm crossing my fingers!!

Nope. If you file the EAD request at the same time as the other paperwork, it's free. See the Special Instructions for Form I-765 on the USCIS web site.
    Care,

I totally agreed with it. My fiance is never married but I don't like to hear about his exes, past romances, old stories, etc..etc. So why this would be up as a question? I feel for your wife and your sadness over this. Hope you find a way to resolve these clutters on your own. Good luck

MUST GO! You are required to be there for your mate. They will not approve case if only 1 person is there. Reschedule interview if you can't make it for personal/sick reasons. There is no telling when your "new" cita date will be available though.

Not only is it recommended, it is REQUIRED. If you do not make it, your SO will be denied. I believe there is an option to reschedule, but NOT recommended because God knows when you will get a cita again. I'm sure another DR member has more info about that.
Point is, GO TO THE CITA!!

unfortunately it is very important for the petitioner to be present at the interview in the DR consulate. In DR it is recommended for you to attend. Another person from DR could correct me if i am wrong. But try your best to be there.

You can petition 50 times, but unless you address the SPECIFIC reasons of denial the your outcome will be the same.
What was the reason for the denial?

You need to be scared. Apparently your husband grew up in an abusive enviroment. If he had jumped right to your defense that would be one thing but you had to tell him.
People that grow up in an abusive enviroment frequently end up being abusive. Him flipping out when you went outside is a bad sign.
These are not normal people to start with but apparently your husband set this thing off with an over reaction to you being outside.
For a short time this seemed like a loving family. beware your husband grew up in this family.
The worst thing you could do right now would be to get pregnant. If he flips out you'll be even more alone than you are now.
Take charge of the birth control and put this guy on probation for a year before you decide to get pregnant.
