I think some of you have gone over the top attacking this guy.To call him a thief when you do not know the facts of the case is not fair.He/she was simply asking for advice on how to proceed, not for people to sit in judgement and issue personal attacks.I want to apologize that you posted something here and this is the response you got.VJ is better than that.Sorry.As far as your situation, I dont know how to proceed.

You choose A, but when your card arrives the card would be marked authorized to work with only with DHS approval or something to that effect.

Long prison sentences for working without a visa? Come on man!!!!! What state do you live in? Even Sheriff Apaio in Arizona does not jail employers for hiring people without work visas.Leave the scare tactics to the Republicans

I dont know about a K-1 visa, but I have a friend who is a permanent resident and filed an I-130 for his wife and he is aware that it could take at least two more years since he will not become a citizen before then.He had his wife apply for a visitors visa and when she went to the interview the consular officer told her that while an I-130 is pending they will not process a non -immigrant visa and that she should wait until the outcome odf the I-130.So to answer you yes, nothing is stopping you from applying but be prepared to hear a similar response.

There is an assumption on this board that some people are Gods on this message board.I am not drinking that Kool aid.Just because you have a bunch of fancy squares below your name doesnt mean you know what you are talking about. All too often people make snide remarks because they think they know everything.

This is the problem with some guys.Sometimes when a guy pays for everything he tries to own the woman and treat her like property. And trust me SOME men are old school and controlling.I was born and raised in Ghana so I know what the heck I am talking about. In my case, I paid for the i-129f.My fiancee will pay for her medical fees and visa fees. She is gainfully employed and we have been preparing for this for the last two years. When she gets here.I will be paying for everything else and the adjustment of status.Women if you are employed and you can pay for something, help your fiance out and at the same time show that you can be independent and don't need a man to do everything for you.I do understand that not every woman is in that position.

This topic tickles me.I guess its a case by case basis on depending on the individuals financial status. If the petitioner can afford itwhy not? but If the beneficiary can also chip in by all means.I will make this specific to maybe cases directly related to Ghana because I have seen where people compare the earnings of beneficiaries in Africa to that of petitioners in the U.S. Keep in mind the petitioner in the US has bills to pay as well and once the beneficiary gets here it is the responsibility of the Petitioner to take care of her fully .Feed her, make sure she is comfortable and in a safe and comfortable environment, take care of her health needs for a while until the beneficiary starts working.
Sometimes people in Africa have a false sense of what life in the U.S really is like.Trust me there are homeless people in the US and people live paycheck to paycheck too.Now if you will excuse me I have to go to the money tree in my backyard and water it so that it generates more benjamin Franklin's.

It really depends on the couples situation and where they are from. In a situation where the the beneficiary does not earn much in their home country I would think it would be fair for the US Citizen who (most likely) has more income to pay the necessary fees, especially the ones needing to be sent by the USC. It would be nice if the beneficiary could save either all or some of their money for their fees for medicals and interview, travel to the embassy, etc. But in a lot of instances, I imagine the beneficiary is probably living some what comfortably, but probably lives paycheck to paycheck and there is not really any leftover money for the fees.
If the beneficiary is working and in a more developed country and can afford to pay the fees for their end of things (medical, visa, etc). Then I don't see why they wouldn't go ahead and do that. But again, that is a personal decision for the couple to make together.
My husband and I never really discussed who would pay for what. He paid the application fee, I paid my medical and visa fees. I think we never discussed it because we knew we both had the money to pay for each of these parts without having to complicate things by doing money transfers. When it came to AOS we used money leftover from what we had earmarked for wedding expenses and money from his paycheck. Really from the time I got over on my K1 visa and transferred "my money" over (we opened a joint account together with me as the primary account holder) we didn't really have "my money" and "his money". It became our money. We've been the same way ever since. It's what works for us.

Unless her presence is required, I wouldnt even bother having her travel all the way to come to Ghana.I have read some reviews where the US citizen has been present in the embassy but not part of the interview. There is also a recent review where a both beneficiary and petitioner were there and although the petitioner was not invited to the interview, the consular interviwed the petitioner.
She is not required to be there and her Check the reviews to see the various experiences and her presence does not mean they will issue the visa.Issuance of the visa depends solely on whether they believe your evidence or not.
I wouldnt worry if I were you.You have a real relationship and you have enough evidence.Just focus on getting all the requested documents and you wil be fine.
