No, it does not mean everything is finished...it only means that you must send in additional evidence....then maybe it will finish. It is a request only for more information. It does not garantee anything.

Good luck!

No, unfortunate;y...they still need to review the document you sent in. What was the RFE for, if you don't mind me asking?

I forgot to answer a question on the 129F.. The one that ask if i was ever convicted of a crime and all that other stuff on there. Me like an idiot I over looked that question but I answered it and sent it right back to them. Which is why I was hoping that once they received that that my case would be approved.

You should be fine....I'm sure tons of people forget to check off a block or two on their forms. We're so excited and anxious to send them in, we tend to overlook things. It's normal. But again, I'm sure it's fine. They'll double check your record and you'll be all set in no time.

Did you send it back overnight /certified? If so, track it and that way you can call to confirm with them that they've received it ;)

Thanks for those encouraging words.. I hope that's an approval so I can get this ball rolling, missing mi negro.. Yea I sent it certified Yesterday in the morning and it's supposed to be there tomorrow. Would they even be abLe to tell me anything when I call??

I wish they worked that fast but unfortunately no...not so soon. Call on Thursday and Friday to see if they've put it in. Did they give you a specific unit to send it to so that it's not back in the swarm of new arrivals? If so, I'm sure it won't be too much longer. The bad part about filing around the holidays is that people take time off, they are short handed, and they close down for the holidays......making the already long wait. even longer.

Ooh great they didn't give me a specific unit to send the info back to they just provided the address. That sucks now who knows it may be another 5 to 6 months before I hear anything again. :(

No, not necessarily. From other posts I've read about RFE's it seems like a 2 week wait. Did you read the tips on RFE?

BTW, I wonder how an RFE looks like. We got an Action of Notice exactly on our 4th month of waiting and asking for my fiance's first divorce decree, but he didn't see it's an RFE. He didn't also get a notification email or text messages saying an RFE will be coming by mail. Neither the USCIS website says we're still on initial review.

I dunno our current position as of the moment.

However.... as opposed to most of the other replies to your Q,... I think, if I am a reviewer, THAT Q IS PRETTY DARNED IMPORTANT AND.... if you forgot to answer it AND ONLY IT.... I'm already suspect, upon initial review of your petition. So, I'm going to send some RFE's your way. I wouldn't expect an easy ride, now... until they are satisfied that your past is clear. (or, ... is it???)

07/27/2011...........NOA1 received.

12/05/2011...........RFE received.

12/13/2011...........RFE response sent.

12/16/2011...........RFE RESPONSE received by Vermont S.C.

12/22/2011...........Teased by a text-message from uscis, saying they have received my response to the RFE.

12/30/2011...........LA VISA APROVADOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

01/12/2012...........Case Sent To Bogota Colombia, from the National Visa Center.

02/09/2012...........Schedule Interview.

03/23/2012...........Interview (to take place then)!

04/07/2012...........Arrived in USA.

07/01/2012...........MARRIED!

What next?

.......How the days DO slip away!
