Sorry I might be wrong, I guess it depends in each consulate.. the one in Mexico asks for the original USC's birth certificate. Maybe not the one in Peru, although it wont hurt if your fiance still takes it just in case. Sorry for the confusion. Good luck!!!!

just hope and pray that NVC wont take too long reviewing your petition! I have seen cases that the papers stayed there just for a few days and some others for almost a month! My case just went to NVC too and I am hoping will get thru pretty quickly! If u want ur interview in July I think ur timeline is pretty good! Good luck!

well, u can take them as a secondary evidence along with the primary evidence, specially if u have boarding passes of that same trip.

One piece of evidence we have is a reservation my fiance made for a hotel here. He made the reservation on a French website so everything is in French. By looking at it you don't need to know French to see it's for a hotel in Miami, FL on November 16th. Everything else that's in French is just a description of the hotel and the websites policies. Do we need a translation for something like this?

I would not think so, as long as its obvious and u can see the name of at least one of u, the date and place of your trip I think It will be fine. Anyways, You should probably highlight it with a marker or something.

that might be the 'secret number' NVC provides to you along with ur case number (the one starting with CDJ)... Try calling (or probably ur USC fiancee should) the NVC to request the number. Good luck!

You admitted you had help from Google. This means you didn't know enough to translate the document. Whether it be you don't know English or Spanish. Someone who knew what they were doing wouldn't use google.

However, if you're saying that the Notary was the one who signed YOUR translation then he lied because HE wasn't the one that translated it (which is what the certification means). So either you translated it using google and signed it when you shouldn't, or someone else signed saying they were the translator when it was you that did the translation.

No matter which way you look at it you did it wrong should NOT advise people to do it this way. The person who does the translation does the certification and MUST be fluent enough to do it without google or other assistance.

yeah I said 'help from Google!' not Google translator, duh! They are 2 different things you know??.. The notary is a professional man that works on a well known US bank chain, he was not a friend of mine and I am sure if this was something bad, he would not have signed. I dont really have to give more explanations or tell you how good or bad in english/spanish I am... Have any of you tried calling to make an appointment now for when you need it? When I made my appointment they just verified who we were, didn't need proof that we had completed anything or paid... Could have changed but I'm curious because I see a lot of people asking this same thing.

I haven't as I just got my NOA2 last week and I dont have yet my CDJ case number plus that other secret number. I probably will as soon as I get those numbers. Kimchimex, you should try calling already, I saw ur petition is already at the NVC, call and get ur case number in case u dont have them yet and then call Juarez and ask if u can schedule ur interview. Although you still will have to wait for the 'invitation letter' dont u?...

I was wondering the same thing.. I have seen that most people going to juarez get their interviews exactly after 2 months of receiving the NOA2 or even sometimes a little before the 2 months... but dont know for sure.... wish to know too!

Anyone know if there are any flights from Juarez to the States? I typed it into expedia.com but all I came up with was it redirecting me to have him fly out of Mexico City. If that's the case we may as well say hello to $575 for a ticket to and from Juarez + a one way $400 ticket to Boston. AAH! So much money.

I looked up and seems like the flights from Juarez to US are +2 stops. Juarez -Mex city- somewhere in Texas and finally Boston.

Double check with consulate - very few (if any?) require your to have six - seven different forms of income!

Note that also - if your income is fine - you don't need to prove assets, real estate, etc. That's only if your income falls short and you CAN make up the difference with assets.

This is VERY bad advice and you lied on your document because if you needed assistance from google to translate the document (at ANY stage) then you were not "fluent" in English and Spanish enough to translate that document.

OP do NOT translate your own documents, let alone if you need google to assist you. Take it to a friend or family member... whatever but NOT google.

I never said I use google translator. I translated myself and took it to the notary (a USC who happens to be bilingual), he checked it and he was the one signing the document since it was completely accurate!! Please dont judge if u dont know!

You cannot state it is accurate if you used Google.

My husband translated his own, and it was fine. However, he actually IS fluent in both languages, and would never use an online translator. He knows how inaccurate they are.

The translation does not need to be notarized. It just needs the signed certification statement, as I quoted above from the USCIS web site.

Relax people! I did not use Google translator, I used google only to see some examples and the formats they use. As I said, I got a bilingual Notary (a USC) that checked it out for me and he said the translation was accurate!

yes, you need to call NVC to get ur case number starting with CDJ and I believe another 'secret' number that they give to you.

I would recoment you wait to get the package 3 (from at least one of you, either the USC or the beneficiary in Mexico). Probably the USC will get it first, once the petiotioner gets it, he/she can email it to the beneficiary in Mx and that will work for the interview. U can start gathering documents, evidence and the affidavit of support.

You can also get the forms online, print them out and start filling them out by hand, that way when its time to fill them out online u will have all the info ready. thats what I am doing as I want my interview asap! Good luck!
