Funny I was wondering about this 'touched' thing too. I am signed up with the USCIS site. However the only thing it gives me for my case status is that it is in 'Initial Review'. There are 4 categories given when i check my case status: 1. Acceptance 2. Initial Review 3. Decision 4. Post Decision Activity. I have been on #2 ever since my file was received Feb 15, 2011, and I am signed up for case updates. There are no dates given to see if a file has been touched. Am i not seeing something right or has the site changed?

Go to My link and on your left there is a menu, go to 'Sign-up for Case Updates'... you will need your receipt number to sign up, once you do it, look for your case and add it to your portfolio. every time you sign up and see your portfolio you will see ur case and the last time that it was updated (that is the touch) and u can also get email or text notifications there.... although as many people have said, they dont always update it so try not to obssess to much checking every day (as I do )

I have visited too and no problems at all! I am from mexico too of course. Go for it!!!! just bring papers that show ur ties to Mx. Good luck!

It just depends on the banks in Paraguay and the contacts she has, I would think. I am (from and) woking in Mexico and I my paychecks go straight to my account in 'N' bank. I also have a savings account in Wells Fargo. What I do is I save a good amount of money in my mexican bank account then I deposit/transfer my money to a brokerage (the one the company I work for uses so I know its trustworthy) and then they transfer my money to my WF account (in dollars of course) and they just have a 10 dlls fee for doing this, not bad! She should check if there is any brokerage or person that can do it and that she trusts of course!...Hope this helps!

Hi there! I sent the petition on Dec 3rd, got our NOA1 on the 6th and have not heard a single thing since then, only 1 touch on march 17th but still says Initial Review, ugh!. Frustrating since I have seen January and Feb filers that got their NOA2 already (Don't get me wrong, I am happy for them). Are any of the December filers having better luck???? Thanks in advance!

Hi! yes,, thats the infamous packet 3. If you give me your email address I will send you copy of the instructions she is going to get and the papers she needs to gather. (FYI. I have not gone to the interview but another girl here sent me the info as well just to have everything clear ).. I will recomend you and your fiance that you read the testimonials here about the consulate in juarez, thet give you good info about hotels and stuff. good luck!

got my NOA1 on dec 6th and still nothing!

in my opinion they usually dont give much information to the beneficiary, its the petitioner the one that needs to call, at least it seemed that way the one time I tried calling and they kept asking if I was the petitioner.

geez, mine was sent to California too on Dec 6th, I have been waiting for 5 months and still nothing.. hopefully they will mail the NOA2 to ALL of us very soon!!!!!!!!!! fingers crossed!

According to time lines up above CSC is working on Dec 11--why waste everybody's time telling us every few days that you are frustrated ??

because it is!!!! I am on the same boat as Cristina, I have the same date (dec 6th) and I have seen another late-december filers get approved and we got nothing!!! Wouldn't u be frustrated??!

On the USCIS site, you register for case status updates using your case number. When you check the status of your case, the "last updated" date is considered a touch.

However, the letter of intent may or may not make it to your case file. It'####### and miss. Good luck!
