I think that is pretty normal, for me it took 2 weeks from my NOA2 to get my case number from NVC. I Think it can even take up to 4 weeks (not sure about this). Dont worry, it should be coming soon!
-
Im still waiting!!! NVC said they sent it out on June 6th. I'm sure it will come this week or next, thanks guys!
I meant if the Consulate in Juarez already told u that they mail it to you. If you have not called Juarez u can call and ask if they got ur petition and if the packet 3 has been sent. Otherwise u will just have to wait, should be coming real soon though.

November 15 NOA1 received and still waiting. Giving up and in lots of pain.
Dont give up! Ur NOA should be coming soon!!
-
I was in the US for a few days too, had a I-94 and we said NO. No problems at all!!
-
did they send it to you already??... For us it took less than a week to get it in the USA, still have not gotten anything in Mexico.
-
You will know by calling them and ask! They will tell you if they receive it and then about a week later they will mail you and your fiance packet 3.. again u can call later and ask if the packet has been sent or just wait for it. You can look at my timeline to have an idea.
You do not need to wait for packet 3 to start filling out the forms, u can do that and pay the fee. I would not schedule any appointment though until at least one of you get the packet, probably the one in the US will get it first. (BTW. You or ur fiance can pay online!)
Feel free to ask more if u need to
-
I dont know in your country but at least here in mexico we can pay either pesos or USD. The only catch though is that If the currency is 1 dollar = 11.50 pesos, they will take the dollar at 12 pesos and they gain a little more money. I mean is not like a huge difference but this process is expensive so the more u can save the better!

spouse since its the closest to fiance. I did that and several others too and had no problems!
-
we put the city that we got the passport in for my fiance-- even though it doesnt say it in the passport.
Exactly!
-
Yeah and dont forget the letter of intent from both of you.
Start with form I-129F, you fill that out.
Both of you fill out your own G-325A.
Filing fee for I-129F is $340. Mail the I-129F, both form G-325A's, the fee, and your evidence to the lockbox in Dallas. The address is on the instructions.
The sponsor/co-sponsor forms (I-134) won't be needed until the file reaches the Embassy.
The posted time from NOA1 to NOA2 from USCIS is 5 months. May be longer, may be less. After USCIS approves the petition, they will send it to the NVC where it will be assigned a case number and then shipped to the Embassy in London.
I don't know how the Embassy in London schedules K1 interviews. Others who do can chime in.
I would say a good ballpark figure from filing to arrival is 6-8 months.
Best wishes!

I think is 1075 dlls total or very close to that amount
-
I asked Danilu the same question and she said its Lopez Mateos... are u going to wait for it in Juarez?
I am not sure but I am almost positive that we can't change the location after we schedule the interview.
-
in my case, NVC received my petition 2 weeks after NOA2 and yes, u should talk to a live person, the AVR is not accurate.. the same day they gave me my case number, the AVR kept saying they did not have it.

SO YOU SUGGEST SPOUSE??? I WAS THINKING IN THIS OPTION. THANKS
yes, I did that and have read several VJ members that did it too. It should not be a problem at all!
-
Our embassy requires form DS 260... put SPOUSE as is the closest to fiance
-
yes, that is packet 3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats was pretty fast!!!! congrats! U can now schedule ur appointment!!!
You need to fill out the forms, and as he said print out the confirmation number when ur done with DS 260.
Scanning the letter is NOT optional if he has not gotten his yet....ur fiance NEEDS it to be able to enter the medical and the appointment.
BTW. packet 3, appointment letter or invitation letter ARE the same thing

OMG now I got worried too.
I was also an au pair and i extended my program for 6 months. My Visa says the same thing "NOT subject to the two year residence requirement".
I got a little confused about the other place I should check this information though.
However, I also think they wouldnt approve the first part of the process If they knew of this 'episode'.
I just hope none of us get in trouble with that on the interview. If we already reached this step of the process, nothing should be a big issue anymore to be denied.
God bless us all. Good luck to everybody.
yeah dont worry about it. We will be all fine

I THINK you were supposed to take ur vaccination records and ask for that sheet when u went to the medical before the k1 interview. And then u could have taken that sheet to a Doctor in the states and get a transcrption for a few bucks.
-
I would like to know the exact same thing....
-
Yeah I just realized it does not print, its very odd. Anyways I will bring BOTH versions to the interview just in case!!
-
Yes I know that, but in your visa says that u are not subject to the 2 years home requirementent, that means your application it is not subject to it either. Because you are under the same program.
Plus why u guys worry about it, if the question about the 2 year home requirement is in the form D2-230 PART II,
and PACKET 3 only asks for Form DS-230 PART I... PACKET 3 states:
FIRST: Complete and send us Form DS-230 Part I.(Application for Immigrant Visa and foreign registration) and 1 photo (see instructions attached)
You are worrying about a question wich is asked in PART II of the DS-230, WHEN PACKET 3 only request for PART I of the DS-230..
At least that the embassy in your countries request part I and part II, wich i doubt it because most of the countries request to fill out only part I..
G
I dont know anything about the form ds 230, my embassy does not require that. Maybe that is why I WAS worried, not anymore though.

; The petitioner should write a letter about his desire to marry his fiancee. Signed and dated not too long away from interview date.
8 month old letter is way too old. You can better make up a letter close to interview date (a month of so), because that letter would be more of a proof then an old one.
If I was a CO, I won't take that as a good evidence of ongoing relationship.
Just my two cents
agreed!
