Actually yes! USPS lost my wife's EAD. 1. You have to fill out a new application 2. Write a letter explaining what happened and why you should NOT have to pay for it's replacement, because USPS lost it .In letter give all information such as A#,DOB, copy on NOA,etc. 3. Call USCIS and let them know that card was lost. Speak to a teir 2. Send new application to same lock box. Will take another 3 months to receive new EAD.
It is a pain in the butt, but we got a replacement card without having to pay the " lost or replacement fee"

There is a fee for lost or replacement EAD card. But, do not have to pay if lost card was because of error in USCIS or USPS.

Okay gotcha, they want you to pay to replace it if you lose it, but not if lost in the mail. I guess if they issue them for free, then they expect you to pay for a duplicate if you happen to be at fault for losing it.
There is no fee for applying for the EAD with a pending I-485, and you can renew it for free as well, if needed. They are still in conjunction with the AOS. You fill out a new application form to renew it and all you need to do is include a copy of your I-485 receipt notice, and the fee is still waived. Same thing for anyone that did not apply for the EAD and/or AP when they filed their AOS. They can file for them after and include the I-485 receipt notice to have the fees waived.

USPS are notoriously bad about this stuff. Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with them
I think USCIS should send you an identical new one for free... I acually doubt they'd make you pay for it again, but I don't know for sure. It is one of my fears as well, I wish they'd use FedEx or something, this stuff is important!
Good luck and I hope you get this resolved soon!

Do it yourself. You have to gather all the documentation for the lawyer anyway, don't pay someone $1500 to fill out forms. Read the AOS guide step by step. You can do it! Time consuming, yes but save yourself some money!

If he didn't file papers for her when they got married in the U.S., then he would have to sponsor her as a CR1, in order for her to come back to the U.S.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but she had to adjust her status once she was married, because she came on a K1 visa, which expired once her 90 days were up. She no longer has a visa to arrive back in the U.S.

Just logged on to see that we were approved today!!!!! NOA1 January 3 here. Only 4 months and I'm shocked. Our petition was simple and to the point. Just my passport stamps and a few photos and boarding passes. I think pages and pages of skype convos etc weigh down the application. Just my 2 cents. So happy! Thanks for all the help and tips here

congrats on your interview and new baby. My husband and I went through the same thing and he from Tunisia also. I had our son on 11/20 and his was on 11/26. Of course we did not have time to get a birth certificate or send any medical records. I did send ultrasound pics and a letter from my dr stating I was pregnant and when I conceived and was due. My husband said they did not even ask him for any evidence at his interview, or anything paperwork regarding our son. I told him to make he mention though if they ask about if I had kids to tell them of my older kids and our baby. I am sure he will be find with the medical records if you can email those to him. The interview went smooth in Tunisia and he was ask only like five easy questions, was approve and had his visa the next day. I hope this helps.

Go somewhere else. Forget that postal office. In fact, forget all postal offices. Go to another type of office.
Sure, it'll mean a bit of research and maybe even a longish drive, but - you gots a moron.
You need to be where the moron is not.

Probably a moot point now but this is not true. I'm in California about to give birth without my fiancé here and I cannot add him as the father without him being physically present or a court order. He has to sign that piece of paper...just sayin'.

    Nothing.
She has left the US and the only financial gain she will receive is through civil courts. USCIS could not possibly care less. Not even possible.
hotukrainianwives.com could possibly help out. Good luck

lillakatoussa reacted to te amo MEGR in CSC working on July 17th K1 visas.....still
I am trying so hard to stay positive through this whole process but today I feel like all is hopeless. Somehow I got to talk to a tier 2 representative and he told me that they are working on July 17th petitions. Although they said this about a month ago as well, that is not what upset me. The man then told me that once they get to my case (July 19 submit, July 23 NOA2)"probably next week" that it then takes about 30-45 days to hear anything back. I was under the impression that once they started working on your case, it went fairly quickly. In 45 days, that will be 7 months.....and who knows if I will receive an RFE or not. Sorry for complaining.....it's just that sometimes people who are not going through this process cannot fully understand the frustration.
Anyway, this was mostly just an update for those who want information. Also I have a question. When they say they are working on July 17th petitions, it that the NOA1 date, or the date it was received?
    Good luck to everyone

Most recent update I have seen from someone is in here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/406924-outside-the-5-month-process-times/
This is the first full work week after the holidays, so hopefully they actually do work on some K1 cases. We are going on almost 2.5 months of being put to the back of the bus.

You should feel lucky you got rid of him
If that person had no feelings for u then it is better he left
You deserve to be happy and you need to learn to love urself first .
You are beautiful no matter what and every person is diferent in their own ways .
Be strong change the door locks and go file for divorce .He wont get anything from you cause you only been married for like 3 years so you should be fine there .
The other concern is to see what did u filled in his affidavit of support for the AOS as if he becomes a problem and ask for government help you are responsable of that .
B positive and remember you are not the only person to whom this happen , you will b fine (L)
