You have nothing to worry about. I am 29 and he is 55 and also same sex married! Interview is easy because I provided tons of proofs when I sent the package initially so I know we got approved when we got into the room! Prepare your package well and you should be fine! Good luck

Anyone with a job offer or a letter from your company stating why they need you, I highly recommend you guys to visit your local Field Office. You don't need an Infopass appointment if you have the letter from your company. I did a walk-in, told the security guard that I need an expedite on the work permit, he let me in. Then, when I was at the check-in window, the lady said she only allowed walk-in for expedite for those with company's letter. I met with an officer, he asked for the explanation for why I need expedite, looked at my supporting evidence and then he scanned everything and said he would place my request on the expedite queue. Around 2-3 minutes later he told me my request was actually being looked at at that moment and around a week later I got the approval notice. I think the field office does help with expedite so you guys should really try it. Good luck!

Hello. 6 months waiting is way too long. I would go crazy if I have to wait that long. You can go on uscis.gov portal and submit a service request for the out of processing time. Normally, it will trigger someone to look at your case.
Regarding contacting congressman, normally before they help you with anything, they will ask if you are qualified for an expedite request. If yes, they will collect all supporting document from you. I basically provided a cover letter explaining why I need an expedite due to financial loss and then I provide all the documentation to support that. Hope this helps.

    Hello all,
I just successfully did walk-in for biometrics in Dallas ASC. No questions were asked, in and out within 15 minutes. The whole experience was pleasant and they are very friendly. Now waiting for EAD to be approved.

Just want to share another update on my case. I did the walk-in for biometrics yesterday and today I just received a case status that "Fingerprint Review Was Completed". I am happy that thing is moving for me so far. Good luck to everyone.

I also got my email and text of the NOA at 11:20 last night. It shows they received my case on July-5 but USPS said it was delivered on July-6 so I am happy they assigned my priority date 1 day earlier.
I am excited that they accepted my apps. Good luck to everyone else.

From_VN_To_TX got a reaction from Boiler in F2a new visa bulletin and aging out
This happen to me when I did AOS. They called me in for an interview and it went well, I guessed. The IO told me he saw nothing wrong with my case but he was new so it required his manager's approval. 2 months later I got a denial due to aged out and transferred to F2B. Fortunately, I was still maintaining my F1 status the whole time. In the denial letter, they specifically indicated that their decision only based on the Final Action Date to determine the date. Filling date only allows us to file AOS so they can keep track of visa availability. Anyways, in the denial letter clearly indicated what status I was in and I am authorized to stay until the expiration of my I-20 and any benefits I got from AOS such as EAD and travel parole is NOT valid anymore.
I would advise whoever adjusting status on F2A and over 21 to maintain their status the whole time. Good luck to y'all.
