US Immigration from Vietnam

Hello All,

I'm helping my uncle in Vietnam doing the immigration paperwork here. After his divorce in Vietnam, the older daughter lives with him, and the younger daughter lives with his ex-wife. A few years later, his ex-wife family sponsored 3 people (his ex-wife, the two daughters) to come to reside in the US. Now both daughters have become US citizen with new names. I guess it doesn't matter which daughter is doing the paperwork to sponsor the Dad (my uncle). But I'm posting the question for inputs from you gurus. Thanks a lot.

My now wife's name is Ngan (first) Bao (Middle) D____ (Last), but the US Embassy in Vietnam filed her name for the K1 visa as Bao Ngan (whole given name) D____ (last name). When we applied for SSN, the person had her name on the SSN match the Visa and he recommended to apply for the Green card this way and then when she becomes a US citizen later, to do a legal name change. In addition to all of this, we already started doing her Driver's license and school where the records for those are Ngan (first) Bao (Middle) and D____ (Last). So there will be name conflicts. I'm confused and unsure of the implications of all these name conflicts. One big concern is we plan to apply for Financial Aid later, and if the name on the SSN does not match her school name, how will she be able to properly receive it? Can anybody give us any suggestions on how we should file the I-485 under and about our situation? Thank you very much.

When I first petitioned for my wife, it was just us 2. But we just had a new baby a few months ago.

When we apply for her visa (NVC) and I fill in my I-864, we will have a household of 3 members. Do we need to submit our baby's birth certificate + translation to the NVC?

We don't have the translated version and probably won't be able to get one anytime soon due to the lockdown, so if we are required to provide a birth certificate, could I just write a letter explaining that we're locked down and can't get it translated at this time? I could also send in the CRBA and a photocopy of my baby's passport as well.

Thoughts?

My mom is currently out of state for almost 2 years now with the re-entry permit. While she is planning to come back to the states and apply for a new one. So does anybody here filed I-131 lately? And how long did you receive biometrics appointment? Thank you so much for your time

NVC stage. I'm submitting an electronic copy of my voter's registration card as one of the pieces of proof of domicile.

However, I seem to have lost my hard copy of it.

How important is it that I bring the hard copy to the consulate interview? Should I request a new one, or just leave it alone since I already have an e-copy?
