US Immigration from Vietnam

Hi all,

After almost 3 years, I'm now struggling with the same old, same old paperwork again. :). I'm working on the Form N-400 and very confused with the ''Time outside the US'' Question (part 9). I'm married to my American husband for 10 years, became lawful permanent resident (LPR) and got my 10 year GC since mid June 2019. I will be applying under the 3-year eligibility. After becoming legal resident, we haven't travelled outside the US (mostly due to the pandemic). However, within the last 5 years and prior to the date of becoming LPR, we made some visits to the US to visit family. Should I list all the previous trips? How they will be counted towards the continuous residence requirements? (As I understand, technically, I haven't travelled outside the States at all during the 3 years period).

We received the NOA2 and the Instruction Packet for interview on March, 2020. I could not schedule the appointment until Dec, 2020, however I have to cancel because I was stuck in the US on B2 visa and my home country (Vietnam) closed it border even to itself citizens. Since Oct, 2021, I have been checking the scheduling site almost every days with no luck.

My fiance has contacted a lawyer in the US and he suggested to make a Mandamus Lawsuit against the State Department for substantial processing delays.

My question: Anybody has been using the mandamus lawsuit to solve the problem? what's the result?

Do you feel that my case has a high possibility to win the lawsuit or at least to have a acceptable settlement? Because I am aware that there is no further action need on their end rather than opening interview appointment slots on the related site.

The lawsuit cost is not cheap at all. Really appreciate your advice.

My wife just signed and submitted the DS260. The problem is last night I updated the countries she visited last 5 years. I saved it and then re logged back in and checked again.

This morning reviewed a few more things. She submitted it and when I went back in and looked at the review those countries are gone and the question is blank,??

Has anyone had something like this happen before? And if it dropped those somehow what do we do now?

I noticed today that my joint sponsor's I-864 expired in September of last year (we filed it in June and were DQ'd 2 weeks before the expiration date).

With our interview coming up I'm making sure that all our ducks are in a row. Should I make a new I-864 for the joint sponsor? All of his financial, work, and domestic information is still the same.

Anybody here has been successful in making K1 Visa interview with the US embassy in HCMC?

I received the Instruction Package Letter since March, 2020 but could not schedule the interview until now. I have been checking the site almost every day in 6 months with no luck.

I need someone to tell what is wrong. Am I fooled by the system? All life plans have been messed up... What should we do?
