Hi All!

Planning to move to the US from the UK on my visa in the next couple of months but a one way is around 500 MORE than a standard return. Has anyone had any experience of booking a return, then cancelling the return leg once they're in the US? (I don't expect a refund!)

Thank you in advance!

Hello all,

this morning I received a letter from the Embassy. First of all it took a month to arrive, the date is 23 January and we are in March.

Second, again they spelled wrong the address. I live in Dereham and they keep writing DREHEM which does not exist, so for this reason I received everything a month late.

Anyway the letter goes,

Quote

We refer to our communication concerning the receipt of an approved petition according to your status as a fiancee of a US citizen.

As of this date we have had no reply from you. Please inform us within 60 days whether you intend to proceed with an application for a non-immigrant visa to marry and reside in the US. We would appreciate a response even if you wish to abandon the application.

If you still wish to proceed with your K-1 application you will be required to submit an UPDATED reaffirmation letter from your sponsor to update the I-129F petition. Please bring your affirmation letter with you to your appointment.

On the bottom they write the case number, then

(C) name of daughter

Name (P) my name

-------

I am lost. I immediately sent my own application at the time of receiving their letter months ago, and had my medical, paid my VISA fees, scheduled appointment, and it says on their website under stats, READY. What am I missing here?

Thanks

Hey everyone,

ive been reading and hearing shared opinions and experiences. Do you guys take your husband/wife to the interview? If so, did the letter say it for you to bring them along? Also, did they go to the interview room/window with you or just was waiting in waiting area just in case?

Thank you! I ve got my interview this month in Denver so any feedback would be great!

After an astonishing period of just 6 days the IR1 visa has been DQ d.

There is a Case FE Review note Im uncertain what it means though. I d appreciate anyones thoughts on the below. My only guess is that evidence of the source of income was not uploaded, rather I uploaded bank statements with that income shown as a line item. I m not relaying on assets to exceed the poverty level. My employment is foreign, this will end, but other income easily exceeds the poverty level. That income will continue Stateside.

The income reported as stated on form I-864, I-864A is insufficient to overcome the public charge grounds of inadmissibility for visa issuance. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos and https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p. A consular officer will decide if you meet these requirements at the time of the interview. Note: You, as the sponsor, and any other sponsors household members and joint sponsors, must provide updated or additional evidence for the applicant to present at the time of their interview such as: * Other income * Assets * Proof of current employment Note: You submitted documentation to the National Visa Center through the Consular Electronic Application Center CEAC. You can continue to upload documents to CEAC up until the date of your visa interview.

Affidavit of support I-134- current tax return - how to prove income of petitioner (K1)

hello there,

I have my interview on 13th March, so I gathered my documents but I am not sure I understand what they mean by 'Affidavit of support I-134- current tax return.'

My boyfriend is filling the I-134. He also provided a current salary sheet, a warranty deed for the house and a Property tax statement for the year 2023.

Is this necessary or enough? I can't find any explanations.

Thanks
