Hi all,

I had my visa interview last month where I was approved and issued. So I now have the process of sorting things out in terms of shipping my stuff over to the USA when I travel later this year.

I think I already know the answer to this but I just want to make sure. I was just wondering if people had to cancel their phone contracts and pay a fee to do so? As I will have about 6 months left on my mobile phone contract when I plan on travelling.

Can anyone point me to the USCIS policy manual or case law that states that once a K-1 visa has expired, and if one has legally got married and filed an adjustment of status application - that they have the right to remain in the USA under a period of authorized stay? I see the mention of authorized stay within the USCIS Chapter 3, Part D; but it doesn t really clearly define anything.

Asking because we are trying to prove to a governmental agency that my spouse has the right to be in the US after the expiry of his I-94 and because there s no expiry on the I-797 NOA they won t accept it.

As a note - he has not yet received an EAD.

Unsure if I m doing this right so apologies if I m asking in the wrong place.

My fiance and I have had our K1 petition approved and are waiting to hear from the NVC, while waiting I was looking to make sure im prepared for the interview when it eventually comes, and I realised my partner never sent me the copy of the petition packet.
He has a copy but he copied it before signing it. Is this a problem ? He is now worrying but I m unsure if this will be a problem ?

Hi all,

Hoping for some advice.

I received a letter telling me I need to update my driver license.

Driver license expires 2/20/2025.

My greencard expires 4/28/2025.

My window to submit my i-751 to extend my greencard opens 1/28/2025.

Am I right in thinking I should submit my i-751, wait for the processing letter that informs me that while my application is in process my greencard is good for another 4 years, and THEN go to the DMV to renew my DL?

Hi all, was wondering if anyone had any advice on how long the next stage will take? I'm at "approved" and waiting for it to update to "case sent to state". I was approved (noa2) Aug 23rd. Beneficiary UK based. I've heard conflicting things that it can take up to 90 days and others say under a week? Any advice is appreciated !
