Hi,

I ve scrolled through this website and don t seem to see much with regards to AOS from J1 to marriage based green card.

What forms do you need to fill in to make this AOS?

what is the current wait time?

Will my current j1 visa become invalid once I submit my paper work? Am I allowed to continue working?

My husband's UK passport was going to expire in January, so we renewed it. This makes his ESTA no longer valid. Due to the backlog it looks like we will be waiting a while for his interview. We were DQ Aug 11. Since London has moved up to tier 2 they may end up going to tier 3 which could possibly delay us further. We were thinking it would be nice if he could come here for a month (holidays) while we wait. Is it possible for him to reapply for his ESTA? I know the application asks if you are trying to immigrate, but he'd be coming back after a few weeks for his medical and interview (whenever that is) so not trying to immigrate on his stay. Thoughts, or other options?

I submitted my AOS packet a few weeks ago which included a I-765 (Application for employment authorization). I had a receipt notice for both I-485 and I-131, but received a rejection notice or I-765.

The reason:

• Filled out an outdated form [Oops, bummer. Easy fix, though: already filled out a new up to date one.]
• Payment amount is incorrect [???]

The receive date is Sept 28, 2020. The notice date is October 14, 2020.

I attached a check for $1225 when I sent the AOS packet (even made a thread about clarifying these costs before I submitted). I'm left a little confused about if I need to send off more money (and how much). They're specifically asking for it, but I thought that the fees for these forms are waived when in a C09 category. I know that the costs have increased all round, so have I just landed in a weird place where I owe the difference from the fee increase due to having to file again? I used the fee calculator to try and figure this out, but it also gave a contradictory answer ($0) to what's being asked in this rejection notice.

I filed online in November 2019 for my citizenship, My estimated completion now say's its taking longer then normal, just wondered if anyone who files in Los Angeles is having any luck? im not seeing much movement on the process time charts

I was a regular reader of the last London thread to keep myself updated with current timelines etc before it went to 70+ pages and way off topic.

I thought it was such a useful resource so I ve decided to start the ball rolling again so we can keep each other updated on news as it comes in.

To kick us off, me and my wife were DQ 10th July so we re hoping to get our interview appointment email early November. It appears June DQ dates have been scheduled so hoping this is our time after literally years of waiting.

Fingers crossed for no Tier 3 lockdown in London!
