Know this is a long shot as I haven't noticed many VJers in AL, but wondering if there is anyone out there who went through AOS here? If there's anyone, what was your timeline? I know I just need to be patient but my case filing is still sitting at 32 months and it's so disheartening considering the accepted average of 6 to 8... Been here since Jan, married in Feb, filed in April, biometrics in May. Sweet nothing since.

Hi there! I seem to be unable to edit my signature at all? There's no text box or anything to add text and then save it, just the option to turn off signatures for others, and the restrictions on signatures. I'm clearly doing something wrong but I'm unsure what I'm doing wrong and I'd appreciate any help! (I want to add a signature first and foremost to put my timeline in like others have for that easy access view (and also because I'm a little hesitant to add an official timeline linked to my account, merely because my last account got banned when I added a timeline to it))

Hello everyone! We moved to the USA a year ago with a K1 visa. We filed for adjustment of status in mid August 2024. The green card should arrive by 9 months but still we have no sign of it. The USCIS website forecasts 9 months but we are in august so 12 months have passed. We tried to get a state ID for my 17 yo teen. They accepted all the documents, but after talking to someone at another office they said that the K1 visa has expired (it does after 3 months) and they said we 'are in limbo' and we need a I-797 letter to prove our status as immigrants. But how do we get one? No notice of action has arrived here, aside from the one that came last summer for the Biometrical appointment, and sadly it doesn't have any application numbers, bar codes, date etc. Should we just give up trying to get state ID? Everything seems to be going in circle. Also, we ticked the box for the SSN number in the Adjustment of Status for me and my daughter, but while my SSN and permission to work arrived in November, my teen was never given the SSN number. I enquired with USCIS last month and this week they replied 'You need to ask the SSN office.' I always complained about the Italian bureaucracy being long and complicated but it seems that every step is unnecessarily long winded.... Thanks

So I have an update, USCIS is stating that my case is still being processed but under documents there is a letter stating that it s approved. Does this actually means our case is approved ? We applied May 19, 2024 and now we have this update. Also if this is approved should I fill out the I-485 ? My wife will need a sponsor.

Hi all, My wife (petitioner) and I (beneficiary) have been going through documentation and preparing for the NVC stage, we're a mid-Nov PD for the I-130 so not expecting it for a little while but want to get ahead of the game. I was reviewing the I-130 and I-130A forms that we have submitted and I noticed a slight typographical mistakes in each form. I personally think that they are very minor mistakes but wanted to understand how best to remedy this. The errors in question are: - Form I-130 Part 4, Information About Beneficiary: Item 51.h. (Beneficiary s Employer Postal Code): The postal code listed for the beneficiary's employer was mistakenly entered as our home postal code. Home and employer's postcode has are very similar hence why I mistakenly entered my home postcode.
- Form I-130A Part 2, Physical Address History: Item 6.a. (Physical Address 2 Street Number and Name): An address from the beneficiary s address history was misspelled. The address contains the word hill but this was listed accidently as hil, missing an additional "l."
As stated I think that the mistakes are very minor but again this is just my interpretation and I wanted to get ahead of this and rectify it to prevent an RFE as best I can. I was going to upload a letter as unsolicited evidence where I detail the sections from each form and corrections much like the bullet points above. Is this the best way to go about this? Do I need to include any evidence with the letter i.e. letter head of employer to show address? Or do I not even bring it to the attention of the case worker and just hope for the best? All advice is welcomed and appreciated. For what it is worth, we're self filers and have completed all documentation ourselves without legal assistance. Thanks!
