US Immigration from United Kingdom

I've been in the U.S. for about two months now, and I still await my physical Green Card to be mailed to me, (all paid for in advance). I obtained my Immigrant Visa (IR1) in London and have the two stamps in my passport from CBP when I actually arrived into the U.S. at the Port of Entry

I've now received a form I-797C Notice of Action for a biometrics, (Application Support Center - ASC) appointment. It askes that I bring the appointment letter, Applicant's Information Worksheet, (AIW), together with photo ID, (will take my British passport with I-551 stamps and Immigrant Visa).

I'm not sure why I have this notice and would be grateful to anyone who may have experienced this, or anyone that may know the reason why. Thank you.

Attended my biometrics appointment today and 2 hours later had a text to say my case status was updated. When I logged in, I saw the below:

Does this mean I won't need to be interviewed?

Will the tracking message change when the embassy receives the application?

So far all it says is 'in transit'

Sorry if this subject has been answered to death, I'm struggling a little to find a list on here but if anyone has already answered please do let me know

I got married last week and once we get the marriage certificates we will be filing the online application for CR-1

The main question I have is, what do I need to have right at the start of my application, as in literally when my husband goes to make an account to start the application I assume we need to scan in a copy of the marriage cert but do we need to provide any other evidence at that time, or is this something they request once complete? Do i need to provide proof of relationship at this time or my passport (i am the foreign national UK) or anything like this or do we just complete the form itself? Also as we are filing online will scanned copies be okay and then i assume they ask for hard copies at a later time? Does he need a scanned copy of my passport or anything like that

The licences should come in about 3-4 weeks so I would rather have everything ready to go then if needed

Hi everyone,

I m a conditional permanent resident (2-year green card holder) through marriage to a U.S. citizen. I'm applying for a re-entry permit using Form I-131 and just wanted to confirm the correct filing fee.

As of April 1, 2024, USCIS lists the I-131 filing fee as $630 for a re-entry permit, and it states that biometrics are now included. Previously, it was $660 ($575 + $85). Can anyone confirm that $630 is now the total and correct fee for green card holders applying for a re-entry permit?
