Hello! I sent my case 1 month ago and 2 days ago received NOA's. I noticed that i made a mistake in 1 form in my date of birth. I called and they said I have to write a letter, I just wanted to ask if someone had same issue and recommend on how to do it correctly. For instance, would i just write a letter explaining mistake, or should i Include first page of filed form with correct DOB along with explanation. Please help, I'm really worried about this now... Thank you !

When conditional green card expires

I divorced my wife after 10 months. I sponsored her K1 visa in 2018. She arrived Dec 2018 and we married Dec 2018, divorced Dec 2019 and now she lives in an apt down the road.

I was at the first green card interview, she was given conditional GC around Feb or March of 2019 (best recollection). She received a MI drivers license around Aug 2019. I was told that the expiration of drivers license likely coincides with expiration of immigration documents (from an H1B1 visa holder I work with). During the conditional GC interview I remember hearing that she needed to apply for permanent GC around Oct 2020 (remove conditions). I have alimony which will end based on civil judgement once her immigration status changes, I have no way of knowing what her status is.

Her case to remove the conditional GC (through divorce waiver, VAWA or other) is weak. I know this from discussions prior to divorce being final (I can give details, for example not many pictures, no joint banking, valid marriage difficult to prove).

My questions are the following

1) How long does it typically take for application for removal of conditions to when GC is issued? Ex if submitted Oct 2020, this likely means conditional GC expires March 2021??

2) Is there any way to check status of green card thru the affidavit of support or a website if I have the K1 visa id?

3) is there any way to get a copy of her drivers license through a public record search?

Hey everyone,

My wife finally had her cr1 interview in Kyiv yesterday. The consular officer told my wife that everything went well but that we didn't upload the i864a on the ceac website. So we were handed the 221g to do so. The thing is my wife had the original document in her hand and they didn't ask for it and I had already uploaded the document to the ceac website but under the I-864 tab for the joint sponsor. My wife while walking out handed the original 1864a document to the security guard and it was confirmed by the consular officer by e-mail to me that she received it. I then uploaded the I-864a document to the ceac in the correct tab.

However it got me worrying more. My wife gave birth a week before the interview and we did not update the I864 documents to add my kid as my dependent. However the consular officers didn't ask for any of the i864 documents while she was there and didn't even look at any of her original paperwork. Am I wrong to be paranoid that they will probably ask us to send an updated I864 eventually? I only worry because my tourist visa won't last that long for me to wait here and traveling with covid is tough due to flights possibly not letting you transfer through.

Has anybody else been in a similar situation?
