Hi, I need some help in getting ready for the upcoming interview of my 6 years old stepdaughter in UK. While she is DQ'ed at NVC, we are not sure if we need a letter of consent from her natural father at the interview. What we do have is a family court child arrangements order issued 3 years ago specifying that she is allowed to leave UK to live with her mother in Taiwan. The following are the questions: 1. Is a separate letter from the birth father consenting to the immigration required even if a child arrangement order specifically grants her mother to take her out of UK to live in Taiwan? 2. If that court order is sufficient, does it need to be legalized before presenting it to the embassy? Anyone with some experience or knowledge of such issue, please kindly offer some pointers.

- May 11: I received a mail saying USCIS recalled my green card due to the error of the alien number on my green card. ( I checked my case # on the website. It said USCIS recalled your green card. )
- May 12: I sent back my green card along with the notice to the PO Box listed in the letter.
- May 13: Mail was delivered
- May 25: My case status changed to card was destroyed : On May 25, 2021, we destroyed your card for your Form OS155A, Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration, Receipt Number IOE....., because the Post Office returned it and we did not hear from you. You must file a Form OS155A, Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration, with the correct fee to obtain a new card. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
Does it mean they received my old card and destroyed my old card? But why does it also say we did not hear from you. You must file a form OS155A ? Does anyone also have the similar experience of green card being recalled? Thank you! Btw my green card was issued in Feb, 2019.

Hi I just received my NOA2 and noticed that there is a validity date on the notice - it is valid for the next 4 months. The current processing times show that it will take around 4 months for my application to go through the NVC and be received at the embassy. Is there any issue if the NOA2 is no longer valid by the time NVC is done processing? Should we plan on the interview to occur within the NOA2 validity date?

Hi all, My wife and I filed I-864 for her parents last year before all this bruhaha blew up (in early Feb). And thanks to that the entire process of bringing them over from China grind to a halt for the entire year with all the consular services halted. Now that things are starting to clear up and process is starting again, we're now hearing some people saying that at the interview they're requesting updated evidence of financial support information for 2020 tax year. Our original form only has information for the 2019 tax year and I understand the need for the 2020 tax year transcript. Now my question is, should I consider sending an updated and signed I-864 with updated 2020 tax year info to my in-laws for them to take to the interview or would just the tax transcript be sufficient? I'm leaning towards sending them the updated form since I'd rather be over prepared than not.
