My wife successfully completed her interview at US Consulate in Jerusalem on July 11th. We are planning for her to come to USA permanently in late September, which is after our 2 year marriage mark (Sept 8 is anniversary). Will she be automatically given IR1 since the day she enters US (become Perm Resident) will be past our 2 year anniversary? Wasn't sure how this is handled or if it needs to be brought to someone's attention upon entry. Would like to avoid the whole CR1 and I751 removal of conditions process.

Do not contact USCIS for a copy of N-662 Petition for Name Change!!

USCIS does not issue this document, the local district court does. Contact your local district court to obtain copies.

Has anyone ever gotten an Apostille on the name change document the court issues at naturalization? I found some info on it here, looks like it has to go through Washington, D.C.

The bs "War" in Ukraine is really making a mess of our plans. We got through k1 and now Wifey is US Citizen and we sponsored her mom in Russia for Green Card, it was approved, she is our only relative we will sponsor and she hasn't been to US in 3 years due to COVID to see her grandkid, anyway- Interview is in Poland, she needs Shengen Visa I don't even know where to apply, the ivisa.com site looks sketchy and the embassy sites are not helpful. A visa is required to travel to Poland but iVisa cannot provide it at this time.

Question(s):

I just want to know about the affidavit of support ( I-864). I know you must support your spouse for 40 quarters or 10 years. When does the clock start for that 10 years?

I was married for 4 years (to an immigrant on a k-1 visa), we have been divorced now for 1 year. When does the 40 quarters of support start? Do I count the time we were married? Do I have 5 more years or support (counting married time) or 9 more years of support (starting from divorced date)?

Ex-wife (immigrant) did not work during marriage and still does not work.

For this question, assume she will not remarry or leave the country permanently, as I realize this ends the need for support.
