US Immigration from Russia

Me again

After a long talk, my fianc and I have decided to get married and do the cr1 visa instead. The pandemic has taken a toll on him financially and he feels it would be best if he could work immediately once arriving to the US. We also feel we may have more rights as a married couple. We understand we would be starting over and pushed further back in line.

Does anyone have a suggestion of somewhere in the Caribbean we can get married where Russians can go without a visa? I was thinking Mexico, but the blood test scared me a bit and I didn t know if Mexico cases were scrutinized?

Sent the papers off a month ago and the relationship is now over. They already cashed my money order, just seeing how i can halt the rest of the process

My husband had his first citizenship interview back in 2017. After 3 years of waiting he is invited for the second interview. Is it normal?

Hello to everyone.

My question is: Will the USCIS furlough actually somehow impact those cases, that are already at the last stage of awaiting for an interview at the US Embassy/Consulate? Are NVC/Embassies/Department of State parts of USCIS or they are separate governmental institutions?

I am concerned regarding this topic, so please share your thoughts.

One thing I ve learned about this process is the average American has absolutely no idea how immigration works at all. I admit too, I didn t have the best understanding either.

Why can t you just marry your fianc and he come here right away?
Why can t he just fly to the US to come see you?

Isn t he a citizen the second he gets married to you?

If you hire a lawyer, they could get him here faster

You know that he had to live with you and you have to pay for him for 10 years if you get divorced right?
