Hi! So, my fiance was studying abroad for two years, and during these past two years he was only working for 4 months per year, so as you can imagine the tax return for the last year is too low. We do have enough money on the bank acc to cover up the difference, and also he does have a stable job now, and if hw works there for a whole year, the amount in tax returns will be more than enough. We were also planning to include tax returns for the past 3 years, to show that the income was stable and that it will grow in the perspective, also add a letter with the explanation about this whole tax returns situation. Do we have to worry about possibly being denied on this matter?

My stepdaughters application has a date of January 2012. The docs are completed as of Aug 2019 everything completed and then the pandamic occurred and trump halted all imigration. She lives in Moscow. I read somewhere that if it goes past a year we have to start all over. What are my options on this?

If you see my timeline, you'll notice that my fianc e and I have been waiting about 5 months for the Embassy in Moscow to accept our approved i-129f. We received the NOA2 in April and are awaiting a welcome letter that we've yet to receive. Any information on when we can move onto the next stage would be great.

Thanks!

Heads-up: NY Marketplace Insurance; Essential Plan

(Posting in "Finances" as this is financial-related; please move if better elsewhere.)

Any pending immigrants in New York (state) who are on the "Essential Plan" had better take notice: NY State of Health ("Marketplace") is now erroneously switching eligibility from "Essential Plan" to Medicaid based upon the July 29th injunction, which has of course been stayed, thus USCIS is again enforcing the new public charge rules. NYSoH's official stance is that the injunction prevents USCIS from enforcing the new public charge rules, thus immigrants can accept Medicaid without risking their immigration status. I informed the mindless automatons at NYSoH that the injunction was stayed on September 11th, thus accepting Medicaid WILL risk immigration status, but they rejected my report by claiming ignorance: "We have no such information." So, the current situation is that affected pending immigrants can either accept Medicaid, or buy a full-pay plan, or do without healthcare insurance. (Which I understand is a violation of the ACA.) I've already called the offices of my NY representatives and of my Congressman to report this.

Minor confusion with I-944

In case of I-485 for a spouse (beneficiary), is I-944 Part 1 to be filled out by the petitioner (US Citizen) or by beneficiary? I didn't see this explicitly stated in the instructions, but I'm guessing beneficiary? Also, for household assets, can we list petitioner's assets (real estate, bank accounts) even if the beneficiary isn't on the mortgage or given bank account (because they were obtained prior to marriage)? For information regarding tax filing, do they only care about US or beneficiary's home country as well? It's kind of problematic for us to obtain tax statements from beneficiary's own country while within US and petitioner's income is high enough to not need it.
