Hey group! Has anyone recently transited through the international zone of a European airport without a Schengen visa? We'll be flying from outside Europe to the US on a single ticket and won t be exiting the international transit zone. From what I ve read on most websites, this should generally be fine at most airports (like Frankfurt, Vienna, etc.), but I ve also heard of people being denied boarding, especially on Polish airlines transiting through Warsaw. Still, I read one case of someone being denied boarding because of a transit in Vienna. Just wanted to hear anyone's experiences!

My wife is Russian and a conditional green card holder. We realized yesterday that her passport expires in less than a year. I'd really like to get ahead of this and avoid any issues. Has anyone had any experiences with renewing a Russian passport in the US recently? I know many consulates are still open and I've seen some spammy looking services from Google Searches that claim to provide passport renewals. I'm not sure what the process would be and would very much like to avoid her having to fly back to Russia and then re-enter the US. This would not be the worst thing ever but is best to be avoided.

Debated posting this (kind of want to keep it secret ). Anyway, using the global entry app literally allowed myself and my work colleague to pass through CBP in minutes at Washington Dulles. For anyone familiar with Dulles, while riding on the arrival shuttle from a British Airways flight, we downloaded the app, signed up, and set our arrival information. When we reached the CBP arrival hall, it was packed, but we made our way to the GE App line which was empty, talked to an officer, and passed through. Now in our case we did not check any luggage (it was a quick trip), so we did not have to wait at the carousel, but the App is worth it especially at PoE's that tend to be busy.

Filed for N400 July 22 of last year. Have heard nothing. I have checked many times online, and they just say the case is on step 3: Scheduling Interview. Office: Tampa, FL. Per there estimator, the process should take 11.5 months. Anyone else in a simliar situation? Is the current Trump Administration actions making things taking even longer than before? Just getting a little frustrated. The only reason it's an issue is that we want to be out of the country longer than the allowed 6 months currently allowed by her Green Card. Our plan is to go out of the country on July 15 and then just come back if and when it gets scheduled (but of course, not longer than 6 months.)

Pre-interview letter from Embassy help! |

Hey guys! I'm looking for a little advice and encouragement. We received the pre-interview document checklist from the Yerevan embassy. And there's a few things that have me worried. First, the letter says: "IMPORTANT REMINDER: If you do not follow these instructions, your visa appointment will be canceled." ---- "Military book: Missing. Upload the full copy of your military book and its English translation (if applicable)." We already uploaded the military book and translation and it was approved by NVC. Should I just reupload it? It was in 2 parts because of the file size (part 1 plus part 1 translation and then, part 2 and part 2 translation). Should I upload it a different way? ---- "Tax Transcripts: Upload your petitioner's and joint sponsor's (if applicable) tax transcripts from the most recent tax year." I had a problem with the IRS this week. They couldn't process my return, because they needed to verify my identity. I was able to verify my identity, but they told me it could take 9-weeks to process my return. It's possible I won't have my transcripts by the time of the interview. What do you guys advise I do in this situation? And how expeditiously do you think they want these documents considering they are saying the appointment will be canceled? Thank you guys!
