I looked at past VJ threads with the same topic but wanted to be 100% sure. I have an appointment next month with the PH embassy in Washington DC to renew my passport and register for overseas voting. My questions are: 1. Will the Embassy take my current passport? Or will they just punch holes in it and let me keep it? 2. I will likely take a flight from Washington DC and back. In case I am asked for an ID for the domestic flight from DC to home, I assume I won't be able to use my PH passport with holes punched in it. I don't have any other state ID, but I do have a couple of IDs from my home country (PH driver's license and UMID card). Would those do?

My wife is back in manila to get final results on culture after 2 month sputum, our original interview was on march 26th but got pushed off cause of sputum, she was told when she comes back to head straight to vaccination before getting results. I would like to know if culture is good how do we re-Schedule interview and if we are classified priority or what would the prognosis be for getting interview done passport and visa before medical expires? She was told she has to fly out no later then August 7th, kind of worried do not want to do another medical and wait another year or two yet. Been two yrs since we got married in the Phils already and one hell of a cost.

Hello, If a minor receives a K2 visa during the time when their K1 recipient mother does not have AP or greencard yet, would the husband of the child's mother need a SPA special power of attorney to be able to accompany her child on the travel from Philippines to US?

Hello, My wife's son (6 years old) has his K2 visa interview on May 24. Apparently it is okay for a child to have someone accompany them during the interview process. Since my wife has no AP and cannot go there for the task, it would be best if his grandfather accompany him. To do this, I assume an authorization letter from my wife is needed in which she grants her father power of attorney to act on her behalf in accompanying her son during the interview. Can something like this be used? Are there any templates for this type of letter? Anything in specific that needs to be in the letter? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
