US Immigration from Peru

Hi!

I would like to hear from previous experiences (preferably from 2021) or advice about walking in an ASC or USCIS office, so I can receive a stamp on my passport.

My greencard and 18-month extension letter are expired (2020-Mar-28 and 2021-Sep-28, respectively), and I have intl. travel plans. My departure date would be Nov. 25th so I m trying to get the stamp as soon as possible.

I have already called the USCIS number, the agent checked my info (since every document I have is expired and my trip is in less than 30 days), I was placed in urgent queue to receive a call from a Tier 2 agent. I called USCIS Wed. 27th, and the 2nd call should happen within the next 72 hours but nothing yet.

My last hope would be this Monday. So if I don t get the call, I d like to try to show up at their offices. Has anyone done this successfully in NorCal/Bay Area? Or any other areas? Any tip or advice are welcome.

I m planning to print my itinerary confirmation email (recommended by the Tier 1 agent too), the email received on Wed. that confirms I was placed in urgent queue., and bring the rest of documents that proves that I do need the stamp.

Hello everyone, I'm in the middle of the process for AOS, waiting for my interview to be scheduled.

My godfather just passed away, and I need to go to FL from CT, I was ready to get a flight there but idk how it would be for domestic flights when I don't have any document yet besides my passport with expired B2 visa and all the NOAs I received from USCIS.

Has anyone has flown in the middle of the process?

I can't go by train (33hrs.)

I sent my application last week. USPS says it was delivered to USCIS Chicago P.O. Box, but they still have not cashed my check. It has been almost 1 week. Any ideas on the time frame?

Been seeing mixed messages about whether getting married on a K1 before applying for a SSN is a bad idea or not.

Situation -

Fianc and I will fly from Peru on Nov 1 to my parents house. My father is a minister and wants to marry us there that before we travel to my city. Talked to county clerk already and got application and a form to fill out if your partner doesn't have a SSN. Seemed pretty straight forward.

Will I have problems with the SSN office, trying to apply after marriage? Would like to get her SSN as soon as I can.

Should I apply with her maiden name? Not sure if this could cause problems with AOS.

We recently file our case, September 25th to be exact, and I m wondering whats the best way to follow it and be able to know what agency will be processing it, NOA S, etc.

Also, will the agency handling our case be related to the State where it was filed, like if we did in Arizona, will it go to Texas or Nebraska, maybe?
