Hi,

I am planning to file for Spouse visa for my wife who is from Pakistan. I know the visa process take long. I was thinking to bring my wife first to Mexico through temporary residency (I already got my temporary residency visa and will soon file for her) so we can live tighter until her US immigrations process is completed. I work remotely so I can work from anywhere, so I was thinking to work from Mexico while her visa is still in progress.

The question can I start spouse visa process while she lives in Mexico and once, she gets to the interview stage can she has her interview in Mexico or she would have to fly back to Pakistan.

I just checked my mom s case status and it say approved but I don t really get it when they approved my dad a petition they said case has been transferred to NVC

The above petition has been approved. However, you did not indicate on the petition whether the beneficiary intends to apply for an immigrant visa abroad at a U.S. Embassy or a U.S. Consulate or will apply for adjustment of status in the United States. Therefore, USCIS has retained the petition.
If the beneficiary intends to apply for adjustment of status in the United States, they should submit a copy of this notice, along with a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. They can obtain Form I-485 from the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov, by contacting the USCIS National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283, or by visiting the local USCIS field office. Filing address information can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov.
If the beneficiary decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the United States based on this petition, you should file Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, to request that we send the petition to the U.S. Department of State National Visa Center (NVC).
The NVC processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that require consular action. The NVC also determines which consular post is the appropriate consulate to complete visa processing. It will then forward the approved petition to that consulate.
The NVC will contact the beneficiary of this petition with further information about immigrant visa processing steps.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A VISA AND MAY NOT BE USED IN PLACE OF A VIS

A request to my country fellows on this amazing forum (God bless the people who are behind this effort); please update your timelines.. Data is very important and it can bring calmness and ease anxiety to so many people who are awaiting reunification with their loved ones. Please take a moment, so people can assess if they are ahead or falling behind the normal timelines.

There are so many moving parts: USCIS trends, NVC approval trends, Consular processing times. I request with the utmost humility, if you benefit from this page please try to give something back as well.

With the grace of the Almighty, my mother's I-130 was just processed. Now I am preparing for her NVC approval, the question I have is, if I need to submit my IRS approval for year 2022 or can I just submit W-2s for 2022 and tax returns for 2021.

The issue is I am a W-2 employee and I also started a business last year so, my taxes are a little complicated for 2022 which may require me working with my CPA for quite sometime before we can file our taxes(just a disclaimer: nothing illegal, its just I didn't do a good job in organizing everything).

Anyway, I don't want to waste anytime and I want her application out of my hands as soon as possible since it already took a year for her I 130 approval!

Any advice will be much appreciated.
