Hi,

Is it a good idea to change consular interview location to another country after the case is already DQ?

How long it may take?

My case is DQ since Oct 2020 but it is still at NVC. I found out from some posts that interviews in Islamabad are scheduled for cases DQ in Nov 2019 so it may take another year to get my IL I am working and living in Singapore for few years and was thinking to transfer my case to Singapore for consular interview. One reason is that I will not need to travel back, second there are almost 0 F3/F4 interviews in Singapore so it will be much faster to get IL.

If it takes up to couple of months then it will still be better. Please advise what should I do, request to transfer the case or wait. Thank you in anticipation of your answers.

Please share your DQ date and date when interview letter is received or still waiting.

Status: Waiting for interview

I have a cousin who is like baby sister to me. She got married in December 2019. (Only nikah no rukhsate)Her husband is US citizen. He lives in Wyoming. He applied for her case in feb 2020. I-130 is not yet approved . I am so much concerned about that why I-130 is not approved yet. I know its covid but i applied for my parents in sep 2019 and it got approved in april 2020.
even after approval and nvc it is taking so long for interview so i m really concerned that how much time it will take she is kinda frustrated because it was totally arrange marriage and she thinks she is stuck in trouble for no reason. Her husband just camr for the ceremony and then covid n all n he never visited pak.
is anyone in same boat.
also if she applies for visit visa i know chances are like zero but still if she applies will there be any impact on immigration case. Plz help

I am US citizen and I applied for my parents immigration. I applied in Sep 2019, I-130 got approved in april 2020 and in oct 2020 case was completed from nvc and now they are waiting for interview that will be in Islamabad embassy Pakistan.
They are visiting me here in USA as they already had visit visa now i have 2 questions and I would be extremely grateful if someone helps me.
1) when we can expect interview?

2) if I extend their visa, will it impact on their immigration case. I heard that if you apply for visa extension they don't give any decision but says if you have submitted the application, you are good to go. But i m confused that what would be the impact on green card case at time of interview. Plz help I will be so thankful.
