Hi, please I am going for my IR1 interview for the second time and it will be in December.
The first filing was done in 2016 and I got my spousal visa in 2018, but unfortunately, my visa was cancelled without prejudice due to misrepresentation in my spouse divorce decree. Case was sent back to USCIS and was later revoked.
We had to re-file his divorce with his ex as there was a mistake made by the lawyer in the first decree which made the embassy believe it was fraud. We filed another divorce with his ex who already has kids and married to another man years ago before my last interview

After re-filing the divorce with his ex, we had to remarry again for the second time as the first marriage was considered invalid.
In 2021, we filed another I130 and took us 20 months to get approved.
Now, I have to go for another interview with the original divorce decree and genuine one from his ex. Note: we have two kids already together and they re American citizens.
what should I expect from the interview? I am so worried and I want this to be perfect this time. We have been waiting for 7 years. Please advice me

FILING SPOUSAL I-130 Nigerian Spouse and US Citizen

Hi, all. I am currently in Nigeria to legally wed my fiance and I will be returning to the US to do a spousal visa. I chose this method because from my understand, it seemed preferable based on our plans. The fiance visa, while supposedly faster, from my understand, involves first getting a K1 visa and then traveling, getting married there within 90 days of arrival, and then applying for a change of status and green card. I also understand the fiance visa can take several months just like the IR spousal visa, but on top of that requires waiting for green card after already arriving at the US. I don't want my wife to have to wait after having already waited and I also hear that there's a higher chance of denial with the fiance visa compared to the spousal one. So this is my rationale.

I was asked by a relative who is also looking into this process, which would be better. She is going the K1 route but I said I'd do some research and confirm. So, I am posting this to ask for advice or speculation regarding this, but also to ask what one can expect nowadays as far as processing times and other expectations.

I am looking forward to starting this journey so I will be submitting the forms and documents the minute I get back to the US.

Thank you.

Inquiry About Concurrent F3 Application While F4 Application is in Progress

My brother, who is on an F4 application, recently got married and successfully added his wife to his application (as an accompanying dependant).

Coincidentally, his mother-in-law (who is the mother of his wife) became a naturalized citizen a few months ago.

Is it possible for the mother-in-law to apply for her daughter and my brother under the F3 category while the F4 application is still in progress?

Kindly advise. Thank you all.

Hi,

My mom (LPR) filed i-130 for my 17yo sister. She is currently out of status but has not started accruing unlawful presence. The approval notice mentioned that she can adjust status by filing form i-485.

I want to know if there is anyone who has been in this situation and was successful with adjusting status in the US. We are worried about the possibility of her getting stuck outside the US if she leaves to process outside the US at a consulate.

Thanks.
