Filed N400 on june 2020 Scheduled for interview March 2021 Oath ceremony to be scheduled April 2021 I requested a middle name change and I was told, i would need to go in front of a Judge for My oath ceremony, I had my interview in April 2021 and i have waited over 180 days for my oath ceremony to be scheduled, I contacted the CIS Ombudsman Office and after a month and few weeks this is what the Ombudsman sent to me in a mail. Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for contacting the CIS Ombudsman s Office. We have reviewed your request for case assistance and contacted USCIS. USCIS provided the following response: The Form N-400 application was approved on April , 2021. The file is awaiting oath scheduling. The applicant requested a legal name change and signed the required forms. Name changes can only be granted in a judicial ceremony by a federal judge, and due to the pandemic, the capacity for these ceremonies have been limited, ultimately causing longer than normal wait times. The applicant will be sent a Notice of Naturalization Oath Ceremony as soon as space in a judicial ceremony is available. To obtain additional information and explore the agency s Customer Service Tools and Resources, please visit USCIS Tools and Resources | USCIS. We hope you find this information to be helpful. Because USCIS has acted, our office will be closing this matter. NB: I took out the exact date on the approval. Just wanted to know if anyone is having same issues with Atlanta Office?

Hey guys Am new on this forum and I have a question regarding my expedited case. NVC approved my expedited application and sent me email that lagos office approved and requested my file transfered to lagos on August 5th. They said that Embassy will contact me regarding interview but I waited nearly 10 day and nothing from Embassy and called them which they created a profile for me and asked me to schedule the interview. But I continue to check but the system keep saying "There are no interviews available now". I called them and the Lagos office keep telling me to continue to check. Please can someone explain to me if it is my duty to schedule the interview since they are the people that requested my file to be transferred to them. And I have a family situation that requires me travel with my child to the US and which the Dad said he cant handle all be himself. Am confuse on what to do next and there are no interview slots in Lagos. . Please I need further explanation. Thank you all

Hello everyone. I am a bit confused and need clarification, I filed last year to remove conditions on my Cr1 visa. After filing I got form I-797 giving me an 18 months extension while I wait for my conditions to be removed. October this year completes 18 months and I received another for I-797 today in the mail still stating that I have 18 months extension from the expiration date on my greencard. Is the second I-797 an extension for the first one I got or what? I m confused. Has anyone experienced this before? Please I need clarification. Thanks everyone.
