Good day

My Husband has to visit the Moroccan Consulate in NY to renew his Moroccan ID card, as they don't do it by mail like they do the passport renewals.

His Passport also just expired, so will get that done there also instead of my mail.

Anyone can suggest a reasonably price hotel near the consulate?, Anyone ever had to do what we need to do there?

We are Planning on going week of Nov. 6-9 for a few days.

Also, any idea of how long of a process this is? , I'm hoping its quick process at the consulate, but the ID card can take up to 8 weeks to receive back .

Thank you

Apparently I made a small fixable error. I hope someone can give me good picture of my next step and which form I should use.

I received the NOA 797. Could someone explain to me in layman's term what it means? Should I do the 485 application or the 824 application?

Copy/Pasted:

The above petition has been approved. However, you indicated on the petition that the beneficiary intends to apply for an immigrant visa abroad at a U.S. Embassy or a U.S. Consulate and will also apply for adjustment of status in the United States. Since you have indicated both options, USCIS has retained the petition.

If the beneficiary intends to apply for adjustment of status in the United States, they should submit a copy of this notice, along with a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. They can obtain Form I-485 from the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov, by contacting the USCIS National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283, or by visiting the local USCIS field office. Filing address information can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov.

If the beneficiary decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the United States based on this petition, you should file Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, to request that we send the petition to the U.S. Department of State National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that require consular action. The NVC also determines which consular post is the appropriate consulate to complete visa processing. It will then forward the approved petition to that consulate.

The NVC will contact the beneficiary of this petition with further information about immigrant visa processing steps. (END OF COPY PASTE)

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

We will have our interview in October, 5.5 months from when we had our medical exam. The medical exam took place in Ankara, Turkey.

I know the TB one would not apply since she does not have Tuberculosis and I assume it would be the no apparent defect.

Also, do we have to do another medical exam before she travels to the U.S. and get her updated vaccinations again (she took them in the early spring)

How to get a visa for my husbands sister to visit ?

My husband and I would like to bring his sister over to visit and spend time with us. We plan to have a family soon within the next year and she would like to be there for the birth of any children we may have.

My husband is a LPR (conditional) and I m a U.S. citizen. I see she would be eligible for a tourist visa, but who would need to sponsor her? Would it be myself or my husband, or us together? How long are the visas typically good for ?

She has a job and her own children in Morocco. So her ties to the country are strong, and she would return.
