US Immigration from Mexico

Hey everyone,

I need help trying to understand the process seeking asylum using the CBP one app to schedule appointments and the Global entry travel program.

My sister in law is in Tijuana waiting for her appointment to seek asylum in the USA. She uses the CBP One app everyday to request an appointment.

I reas that she can also participate in the Global Entry Travel program where she is able to use the express line instead of waiting long wait times in the general line.

The Global Entry program you can also schedule appointments but I'm not sure if the appointment she can also claim asylum or she needs to wait for the appointment through the CBP one app. She has a little girl traveling with her and I want her to wait the less time as possible for security and safety reasons.

Can she get Global entry and get an appointment to seek asylum using the global entry application or she needs to wait for the her appointment using the cbp one app?

My wife s residency expires this November. We filed for ROC in September of 2022 and only got an a 24 month extension (case has been stagnant since November of 2022). She is of course eligible for naturalization but is that the only practical way to speed up the process and maintain her legal residency? Naturalization isn t a huge priority at the moment so I d love to know what I can do in between now and November when her status expires.

Hello! My mother-in-law got her interview appointment letter (June 4, 2024) for IR-5 visa, we are traveling to Juarez, Mexico embassy. Her passport expires on august, 2025. do you know what's the required passport validity /maximum expiration date for this type of visa?

Just wondering if anyone would share what the interview email from the consulate looks like.. subject, body, etc. so I can periodically check to see if I missed it.

I am getting my mom her green card. I am a US citizen

On the DS260 form there is this question:

Have you ever been unlawfully present, overstayed the amount of time granted by an immigration official or otherwise violated the terms of a U.S. visa

She entered illegally to the US and was here for 9 months in 1996 then went back to Mexico and never returned to the US

what exactly do I put? Obviously I would put yes but what else do I put.
