Hello,

I am getting my mom her green card. I am a US citizen

On the DS260 form there is this question:

Have you ever been unlawfully present, overstayed the amount of time granted by an immigration official or otherwise violated the terms of a U.S. visa

She entered illegally to the US and was here for 9 months in 1996 then went back to Mexico and never returned to the US

what exactly do I put? Obviously I would put yes but what else do I put.

thanks!

I-485 Separated from Concurrent Filing in USCIS Account

Hi everyone,

I filed my Adjustment of Status almost two months ago. In my USCIS account, there was a blue paperclip in the corner of my I-485 that said Concurrent Filing , and it was grouped together with my I-131 and I-765. See attached.

Yesterday, I saw that my I-485 was separated and no longer has a Concurrent Filing tag. Instead, that appears on the I-765, which remains grouped with the I-131.

It probably means nothing and it s just a glitch, but wondering if that happened to anyone else? Could it potentially mean there s movement on my EAD/AP, or even my I-485? Maybe it means one of my forms was assigned to an officer?

Where to have the baby? Mexico or US?

Me (US Citizen by birth) and my Mexican wife (has visitor visa/BCC, we will be married 2 years as of next month) are planning on having a child. We are currently living in Mexico while I work towards my citizenship here and she levels up her English, since she's terrified about interviews in English. After that's done we were planning on working on her documents for the United States (she only has a border crossing card at the moment)

So, my ultimate goal is for my family to be able to freely flip back and forth residence in US/Mexico as my work requires.

Our preference is to remain in Mexico and for me to continue to work remotely consulting in the United States, but since finding clients that accept remote work isn't a guarantee, I expect we'll need to live in the US at some point in the future, or at minimum for the duration of her naturalization process when we get to that.

So we discussed it and we were planning to have the child here in Mexico, due to the better healthcare situation.

But recently I was reading on here, and saw that the US is proactively cancelling the US passports of US citizen children born abroad if they aren't residing in the US. That would throw quite a wrench in our plans, and I'm worried about getting into a mess of juggling trying to finding work for me, navigating her IR-1, and fighting USCIS for some kind of admission for the child.

Is it a better idea to have the child on US soil? Are they only going after the children of naturalized citizens, or does this affect everyone?

Also, if my wife becomes a naturalized US citizen, will she be stripped of citizenship if we spend too much time in Mexico?

Hope youall doing better than us, after being robbed by our first and wasted 8 months waiting on him , we did it ourselves but then at the last step...

She had her interview yesterder at Juarez and was given a WHITE paper with the 221g code and was told the case was gonna sent back to USCIS

Typo error? More evidence needed even it was approved already by USCIS?

The only thing that worriesme about is that on the 129f we forgot to put a SINGLe letter on her name "c" on Jacqueline

other than that is a pristine case

see each other every 3 to 4 months and sent pictures of us togguehter , make over 80k a year never been married neighter does she no criminal problems

WE ARE LOST AND OF TOP OF THAT USCIS IS SAYING 180 DAYS JUST TO "HEAR WHAT HAPPENED"

PLEASE HELP!!
