Hi all,
I tried searching the threads but could not find anything regrading this topic. I recently enlisted in the CA National Guard and I am scheduled to go to Bootcamp and Training in May 2021. Has anyone experienced or heard of someone expediting their I-751 due to having to go to military training?
I ask this because obviously I would be in training for about 7 months. This means that I will not be home and will not be available to attend an interview or biometrics in the event that I am required to. If I were to receive an interview letter or biometrics letter and I am still gone, what would be the process then? Would my wife, the US citizen, have to call or send a letter and let them know that I am in military training and thus cannot attend?
I know that expedited requests have to fall under certain criteria. My question is would this situation fall under one of them?
Now, before one of you guys calls it out and says that May is still a long way from now, I am aware of that and not planning and doing the request anytime soon. When would be a good date to make the request if it warrants a request in the first place?
A little info:
I am a California Service Center filer and filed my ROC in July 2020. My case status has not moved from "Case was received"
