My husband may have to file a waiver 601. What are some main things I should know in doing so? When it comes to obviously filling it out, what to make sure I make known, certain documents, etc etc? To make them see that he is NOT a threat to enter the states? The charge was almost 4 years ago for smoking in a public place and officer marked it down as marijuana when it was tobacco wrapped in cigarette paper? Anyway, I know none of that matters so I m thinking we ll need to file a waiver. For those that have & were successful, please give me some insight. Anything helps. Thanks!

The officer said that he has to give our case to the lawyers to look over for the statute and see if it states all tobacco products, weed included or if you can only get charged for smoking in a public place that only applies to weed: my husband had a conviction for smoking in public . This whole time for the paper work and everything we filed stated his charge. We never lied about it. Why do they wait until you get to the interview to make you know? It wasn t even weed he had. It was a tobacco cigarette. And it was so small, I mean like half the size of a pinky finger. Yet the JP filed it as marijuana . Anyway, the charge was 3 years ago. So; the consular has his passport and paperwork. If they didn t give his passport back, why even take it if this happens? This is a joke & it makes no sense. He s never been to jail, he doesn t have ANYTHING else on his record. We explained all of this, but it doesn t matter I know. All these corrupt politicians, all of these people in power have so much more that they do and the people trying to do things the right way always get the short end of the stick. What do we do now? File a 601? His medial will expire at the end of March.

Hello, I was just seeing if anyone, ANYONE has any knowledge, experience or ANYTHING regarding the medical exam results? My husband had to go back for the 3 day sputum test. They got sent off & we were told he couldn t attend his interview date until the results came back. We were told 6-8 weeks for results. In about 9 days, it will be 8 weeks. What, if anything, could I do to see what s going on? Email anywhere? Call anywhere? For context. I am American born citizen, he s Jamaican. Our interview was scheduled for October 31st & got a letter stating to wait for results and interview would be rescheduled. Anybody? Anything? Thanks!

Hello,

Apologies in advance if I ve posted this in the wrong place, but I hope someone can help me answer a few questions as im waiting on Noa2.

1. my fianc has a child who lives with them part time. We were thinking to go ahead and get him a visa at the same time as my fianc so that he can come stay a few months and attend the wedding but then return back to his home country for school until my fianc has their work permit. But if we take this approach, would anything be messed up if he leaves the country? Would we be able to have him back on the same visa later and what type of visa is given to children of beneficiaries?
2. I also wanted to know if anyone has had experience on filing for tourist visas for their fianc s family members for the sole purpose of them attending the wedding? Would like to hear how you went about this and at what time frame did the family members submit their application? We still don t have a wedding date because everything is so up in the air with visa processing times

hope someone has gone through these circumstances and can provide feedback. Thanks in advance !

Hey everybody!
I've got a question about undocumented immigrants who are already in the US. How can they go about applying for permanent residency? I've heard that a family member or a job can sponsor them, and they can also seek asylum. I'm curious about the types of cases that usually get accepted by the US Immigration Commission (USIC) and how difficult it is to gather evidence to prove the need for asylum. Also, what happens if an undocumented immigrant marries a US citizen? Can they then apply for residency with that reason? If so, which application should they use? Sorry for the jumbled mess of questions, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of information available on this specific topic. Thanks in advance for your experiences or insights!
