Hi All, I currently live in Chicago and Chicago is my local office. Timeline: Applied for Citizenship via N-400 In October 2021. May 2022 - Received interview date for citizenship in CHICAGO for July 2022. June 2022 - I am relocating to Colorado. 1 month before my interview in Chicago. Question: Since I am moving to Colorado in June, and my interview is in Chicago in July, I have zero problem flying back to Chicago in July for my interview. However, What will be said at my interview when they find out I actually live in Colorado now? Will they tell me that my interview needs to be changed to their Denver office? Can Chicago office approve an interview if the applicant lives in a different state. I wasnt able to change my address from Chicago to Colorado as I am currently still living in Chicago. I move in 2 weeks. So should if I change my address on their system in 2 weeks, will my interview be cancelled as they see i moved out of state. Any advise would be great. Thanks!

How I transferred my immigrant visa interview from Dublin to Bucharest |

Despite me telling people transferring an immigrant visa interview to a different embassy in a country which I am not a resident or citizen, it appears there are still some who do not believe it. So let me explain exactly how I did it. I am now living in the US having moved in December 2021. Step 1. In July 2021 after having being At NVC for almost 12 months, I contacted the embassy in Bucharest directly asking if they would adjudicate my immigrant visa. They replied in August 2021 and said that they would, and asked the NVC to transfer my case from Dublin to Bucharest. I received a new case number beginning with BCH2021 (old number was DBL2020****** . Step 2. I got my petitioner to send an expedite request based on the grounds that unless I immigrated as soon as possible they would withdraw the petition and this would not be in the interest of the USA. The request was accepted. Step 3. The embassy in Bucharest reached out to me directly to schedule an interview and I went there a few weeks later and did both the medical and interview in Bucharest. The visa was issued. The rules are the rules, but this is my experience and it shows that the rules are not always enforced. Those who told me that I am EB-3 and this is a CR* forum and for me to get lost - learn how to treat people with respect. Also EB-3 visas and CR* visas are both immigrant visas and are both handled by the NVC so there is commonality in the handling of the visa scheduling.

Hi All, I have two questions with regards to filling out both my fianc and my parents information on the I-129F form. Q1. With regards filling out my mother's last name (family name) my understanding is that I fill out her last name as it appears on my birth cert which is her marriage name and not her maiden name. Is this correct? Q2. Both my parents are deceased, in the city and country of residence sections I plan to just put "Deceased". Would this be sufficient or should I also add more information? Thanking you in advance.

Apologies, couldn't find a timeline thread. I got my visa via DCF to the London Embassey in 2014, and now it's my brother's turn. What is the current typical turnaround time from first sending docs to passport in hand? When I did mine it was 4 months from submitting package to interview and then had my passport shortly after. Is it still around the same?

Hi All, I have a question you may be able to answer for me. My partner and I have been in a relation for over eight years, I live in Ireland and she lives in the US. Next month we intend to start the K1 Visa process. We are currently putting together the proof of relationship package and I have a question with regards to this... My partner is not great with computers and technology and would prefer me to compile the social media aspects or our proof, such as Facebook, Messages, Texts, plane tickets. My question with this is, if I'm the one that puts together this information from screenshots from my accounts and emails then is that okay as they will see the information from my side, the beneficiary, and not my partner... Will this matter? Thanking you in Advance.
