US Immigration from India

Hello friends,

I am green card holder petitioning for my spouse in India. We got a welcome letter from NVC. I have paid the fees and it s time to upload civil documents.

I have applied for PCC at passport office. Information on web is a little confusing. Some forums say we require pcc from passport office as well as commissioner of police. State dept website says only pcc from regional issuing authority.

anyone who has submitted only pcc from passport office or has submitted from both passport and commissioner office.

I was all set to submit my OCI application to sent it through Fadex & just then my son checks my US passport & tells me that my Place of birth is printed wrong. I was shocked. I went n checked a copy of my application for US passport & it was me who had typed wrong place of birth. Now I will have to make a new application for correction in my US passport and according to their website it will take anything between 8-10 weeks. Now my question is, I have already paid for OCI application, my courier label is also printed in that case how long I can hold my application? Any idea? I also have enquired with VFS Global, but not sure when would I receive reply from them.

This may be silly question,but I would like to hear some suggestions.

So I have applied for travel extension for my sister(on November) who is an LPR.She was here in USA and had to travel back last month.We applied for travel extension(I-131) as due to this current covid situation it is not sure if she can come back with in 6 Months or in an year period.Unfortunately coz of the delay due to COVID , even though we applied on November we got to know this week that USCIS started processing her application.USCIS charged my credit card.But my sister had to return and she is no longer is available for biometric as part of the application.So her I-131 will get denied.

I know it is not right ,but is it okay if I go to my credit card company and dispute the application fee that was charged.?

Hi All. I recently became a USC and I am planning to sponsor my parents to immigrate to the states now. I am going to file I-130 online filling and I would like to know do we have to file I-864 at the time of filling I-130 or do we do it after the I-130 is processed and they go for the interview at the consulate in the native country. Because I have not seen the option of I-864 filling online anywhere with I-130.

Can anyone please advise on the same? Thanks.

Is there anyone here who was able to get a K1 visa consular appointment for the month of March, 2021 at the Mumbai Consulate, India? I was randomly checking my ustravel docs yesterday and just dumbluck (hopefully) was able to schedule my consular appointment for 12th of March, 2021 but am not sure if it was some sort of glitch. It still shows on my UStraveldocs account though. Asking because I would have to go through the police clearances and medical exams again.
