US Immigration from Haiti

So I got overly excited and completed the visa fee before my case was even in Haiti. No I cant complete a new one and on the paper it expired 3/25/22. It also says if you pay the fee after it expired you can not apply for interview. Has any one been through this? I need more opioins.

Do embassies care if you were living illegally in another country ? Because you can t get a police certificate from said country since you were there illegally .

I'm trying to apply for my mother that is currently in the USA however she has TPS. Can someone advise me where to start? Maybe I should be applying for adjustment of status.

My husband has his interview tomorrow to remove his conditional green card. We have never been interviewed before (we weren't interviewed for the conditional green card). So what should we expect? What kind of questions do they ask you?
