Hey guys. I have my medical exam in 3 weeks. And I have to fill out this thing with questions about my medical history etc. one of the questions is whether I've ever been in psychotherapy. I was in therapy for a while because of anxiety and also just the difficulties of being being in an LDR. could that make me inadmissible? Specifically because of the anxiety?

Hi there, Still have a few months until my 90-day period opens up to file for ROC, however, we're also due to move states in this timeframe and I'm honestly not sure what the best way of handling this would be. For reference, this is the situation we're looking at currently: 90-day period opens: 1/18/2024 Most likely physically moving at some point between: 2/15 - 2/28/2024 GC expiration: 4/17/2024 We'll be in a hotel for at least a few weeks upon arrival with no set address so it'll definitely take a while to have everything switched over as we need to find a new place to live first of course. Probably unlikely for us to have a house secured before mid-March, so most billing cycles and statements and whatnot wouldn't show our new address until at some point in April, possibly after GC expiration even. Delaying or moving up the relocation date isn't an option either. I'd assume filing everything from where we're currently at would be easier as all addresses are in order and connected, however, I'm concerned that I'll essentially have less than a month between potentially filing and us moving away. What if there's a delay and some USCIS comms, especially the extension letter, might just get lost in the mail in the end? I'm stressed just thinking about this - idk if this is warranted of if I'm perhaps just overthinking it? If anyone of you has been in a similar situation, would you mind sharing any relevant personal experiences please?

My husband just immigrated from Germany with a CR-1 visa June 27th. I thought when you pay the $220 immigration fee before you enter that would automatically get him his green card. I remember seeing that we would receive the card 120 days after payment. Can someone please tell me if we should wait the full 120 days (which is the end of September) or do I need to fill out for I-485 or another form? I want to make sure I am doing everything correctly but when I look it up online I get very confused. Is there another fee I need to pay? Thank you in advance.

Applying for 1st Passport Abroad as Naturalized Citizen |

Hey folks - After years of applications, interviews, and sometimes lengthy, sometimes quick responses to applications, my partner had his oath ceremony last week and is officially a citizen. Now the tricky part. His father is in poor health, not dying, but in need of familial assistance, and we were set to visit said father for three months in Germany to help set up caregiving services. His flight is on the 15th of July and he received his Naturalization Certificate the day of his ceremony, on the 6th. We've been calling the DoS Passport agency line for urgent travel as early as July 1st and there are 0 appointments nationwide for first time applicants traveling in 14 days. We're calling every day and each day, nothing is open. He still holds his German citizenship (through a Beibehaltungsbescheinigung for anyone interested) and we have a place to stay in Germany for the time we're there and we're confident he can leave the country on his German passport without any issue given what I've read from other posts here. My question then: Can he apply for his first passport abroad? The embassy website specifically lists a Certificate of Naturalization as one of the "proofs of citizenship" allowed for such applications. But there's a fair bit of mixed information on the "grey zone" of leaving on your other passport and older posts here aren't conclusive about the situation. We would be there long enough for him to receive the passport and can also stay in Germany longer if needed. Thanks for any insight!

Hello everyone. so I got my NVC case number through inquiry on Monday, but still no welcome letter. However I completed the DS-160 and my case is "READY". Can I go ahead and book the interview or should I wait until I get the letter ?
