US Immigration from El Salvador

My brother went to his interview on August 27th with a new joint sponsor. I was the household sponsor but was furloughed last yr. During the interview the officer asked about the new joint sponsor and said everything looked good and that he would keep his passport but my brother was missing the medical exam (medical exam was scheduled September 14th).

He turned in the medical and passport on September 17th.

After the interview on August 28th I logged in to ceac.state.gov website and it was asking for 1864EZ. That totally confused us since we have a joint sponsor and my father doesn't work (we provided an explanation letter along with his signed 1864 form last year)

Has anyone gone though this? We resubmitted the joint sponsor info in the 1864ez request. We have not gotten an approval and is under administrative processing.

I emailed the embassy with no response of any kind.

Any input would be appreciated.

Does anyone know how long they are taking to give back passports after visa approval? We are hoping my husband gets to spend his first Thanksgiving here in the U.S. any advise would help.

So my husband had his interview on the 10th of September of 2021 and it updated on the check my visa status (ceac) only 3 times and on the 19th of October it updated again (4th time) from refused(it was refused since the 10th of October (a month later)after his interview & now to ready. During his interview the officer stated that she couldn t give him the visa without my uncles w-2s & an police record we sent it in the exact day of his interview. She stated that he didn t have to come back to have another interview and that everything went well. My question is why is it showing ready but like ready for a new interview? Doesn t make sense? And if anyone s been through this how long until they print your visa if the paperwork is ready sorry we ve been waiting since June it s been hard. Thanks for all the help!

My husband had his first appointment at the Embassy in El Salvador on April 7th, 2021. At this time the officer told him he couldn t approved his visa until he received all necessary documents. He handed him a 221g green slip of paper. CEAC status read REFUSED.

We contacted the embassy on May 12, 2021 and was told it was still processing.

On May 19, 2021 we received an email stating my husband had to go to another interview on May 24, 2021 to continue his immigrant visa case.

On June 10, 2021 we received an email stating he was under administrative processing.

On September 14, 2021 we received another email stating his case was still under AP.

At the beginning of October we contacted our state senator to see if they can get additional information. We are still waiting a response.

Throughout that time CEAC status updated several times and continued saying REFUSED. But on August 12, 2021 it changed to READY.

Since than, it has updated several times, but went. back to refused on October 14, 2021.

Oct 14: REFUSED

Is anyone going through a similar situation? Did the status on the CEAC website changed like his? I am a bit confused as of why it changed back to refused.

We have been trying for almost 1 month to get an embassy appointment In San Salvador. Is anyone else waiting on an embassy appointment or has had experience with when appointments become available each month. We call everyday and check the website multiple times a day but there is nothing available. He is going on 5 months out of the country and we are desperate. Any information would be appreciated.
