So my husband had his interview on the 10th of September of 2021 and it updated on the check my visa status (ceac) only 3 times and on the 19th of October it updated again (4th time) from refused(it was refused since the 10th of October (a month later)after his interview & now to ready. During his interview the officer stated that she couldn’t give him the visa without my uncles w-2s & an police record we sent it in the exact day of his interview. She stated that he didn’t have to come back to have another interview and that everything went well. My question is why is it showing ready but like ready for a new interview? Doesn’t make sense? And if anyone’s been through this how long until they print your visa if the paperwork is “ready” sorry we’ve been waiting since June it’s been hard. Thanks for all the help!

It usually goes between ready, refused and back to ready before it changes to issued. It was the same for me (though I went for a K-1). Back then it didn't say refused but "administrative processing" (same thing in this case), mine went from Ready, to AP after the interview, then back to Ready and then you issued a few days later. Perfectly normal.

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

EAD: 01-18-2017 - 05-30-2017

AOS: 12-20-2016 - 07-26-2017

ROC: 04-22-2019 - 04-22-2020
Naturalization: 05-01-2020 - 03-16-2021

U.S. passport: 03-30-2021 - 05-08-2021
